First, I want to thank you for giving this book a chance. Despite it technically being a sequel to my first book 'Blue Moon' you don't need to read 'Blue Moon' to understand Red Moon. The book only features a few characters from the first book and it won't interfere with your understanding of the story.
So, even if you haven't read 'Blue Moon' don't get discouraged. I really hope you will stay until the end and see where the story might take you.
Second, just so there will be no confusion, the text in italics means it is going on inside Ren's head.
