Why Should I Trust You Mastermind Byakuya X Makoto

Attention, this first started on February 4th 2021. I think the first 6 chapters aren't as good. My writing definitely improved so I'm re-writing those chapters. Ima try and keep in the parts with lots of comments but it will be a bit different. I'll also be adding all the bolder an italic words that were supposed to be like that but for some reason didn't show. Thank you.

(Byakuya POV)

"So that means the mastermind must be none other than Junko Enoshima" Makoto

"Puhuhu~ that is totally..." Monokuma

"Wrong!" Monokuma 

"What but how?" Makoto

"All the evidence points to her." Kyoko

I can't believe this. The ultimate detective shouldn't be this stupid. Seriously I left at least five clues behind leading the role of the mastermind to me.

"Y-y-yeah it has to be that plastic dumpster." Toko

"Well it's wrong~" Monokuma

"Togami why are you smiling?" Makoto

I hadn't even realized I had been smirking. I stopped and returned to hiding my emotions.

"It's nothing that concerns you Naegi." Byakuya

"O-ok." Makoto

That was close. I would have to be more careful, even though I don't think I'd have to pretend for much longer.

"Well then Monokuma, tell us who it is already." Yasuhiro

"Puhuhu~ I've already said it's one of you." Monokuma

"That can't be true!" Aoi

I'm starting to get tired of this. I noticed Makoto was staring at me again. Had he figured it out? No...no he couldn't have, his eyes were glazed over as if he were staring off into space.

"Are we sure that the mastermind isn't the freaking serial killer?" Yasuhiro

"D-Don't you turn this on me you idiot!" Toko

"Guys Monokuma could still be messing with us!" Aoi 

Asahina, Fukawa, and Hagakure all started talking at the same time. All arguing, blaming each other and defending themselves.

"Hehe." Byakuya

I couldn't hold it in anymore. This despair around me.

"Byakuya are you ok?" Makoto 

"Ehehehehehe." Byakuya

Makoto had finally started paying attention again, his eyes back in focus hearing my voice.

"Ehehe ehehe ehe phuhuhu." Byakuya

" Phuhuhuhu." Byakuya

"..Byakuya what are you-" Makoto

"Oh take a guess Naegi take a great big shoot in the dark phuhu." Byakuya

Everyone was watching me now.

"........I don't......." Makoto

"Phuhuhuh." Byakuya

"It's you isn't it." Kyoko

I was slightly annoyed. I would have preferred if Naegi was the one to have said it.

"D-don't saying that about m-m-master!" Toko

I knew what Fukawa was doing. But it didn't matter, not anymore. Makoto hadn't said anything since Kirigiri spoke, but I could see the despair growing in his eyes. For some reason it didn't bring me the same joy as it did seeing everyone else fall into despair. It was something different. Makoto wouldn't meet my eyes.

"Phuhuhu." Monokuma

"Congrats on finding the mastermind~." Byakuya and Monokuma
