Why Should I Trust You Mastermind Byakuya X Makoto

All Acording to Plan

(Byakuya POV)

It was quite simple. I could learn information about Naegi and make him think he's helping Kirigiri.

"You may enter." Byakuya

For a moment nothing happened. Then the door slowly opened and in walked Naegi. He looked nervous.

"Sit down." Byakuya

"O-ok." Makoto

He sat down on the spinny chair opposite of my chair. 

"You have nothing to worry about, I only want to talk." Byakuya

Naegi seemed to relax a tiny bit hearing that. There was silence for a bit then Naegi spoke up.

 "S-so what did you want to talk about?" Makoto

I leaned forward.

"I want to talk about you of course." Byakuya

"O-oh." Makoto

Naegi seemed at a loss for words. 

"Naegi you got into this school because you were randomly chosen as the Ultimate Lucky Student. Which by the way is ridiculous they let commoners into the school" Byakuya

"But now since the killing game has started you've been acting differently." Byakuya

I walked towards him.

"Do you have a secret Ultimate Talent no one knows about?" Byakuya

"What no! At least I don't think so." Makoto

"And what do you mean by that?" Byakuya

"I-...." Makoto

Makoto looked as if he didn't know how much to say. I was getting impatient. 

(Makoto POV)

I wasn't sure what to say. If I told him what I knew he might use it against us. But if I didn't tell him I probably wouldn't be able to gain his trust. I could tell he was waiting for a response. I decided the best thing I could do was try to gain his trust.

"I-I've begun to suspect I have um a hidden talent." Makoto

"Good." Byakuya

"Huh?" Makoto

I was confused by his reaction. He leaned forward.

"I already know your talent." Byakuya

"O-oh." Makoto

"I wanted to hear if you were dumb enough to not notice a talent.," Byakuya

There was definitely a nicer way to say that.

"Yes I already know your talent Makoto Naegi, The Ultimate Hope." Byakuya

I was surprised, hope? That made sense thinking about it but I'd never really considered hope being a talent before. But if despair is a talent than hope being a talent could really be possible.

"Y-yeah that's me I guess." Makoto

Togami leaned back.

"You know this makes my enemy right?" Byakuya

"O-oh? Wasn't I already your enemy?" Makoto

"That is correct." Byakuya

"Oh um....." Makoto

There was an awkward silence between us. Suddenly Togami spoke up.

"Stay here Naegi, I will return in a few minutes." Byakuya

"Wait what?" Makoto

With that Togami got up and exited the room. I sat there for a minute before realizing, now was the perfect time to look for evidence to give to Kyoko. I got up out of the chair and walked over to the desk. I prayed the desk wasn't locked. I had no idea how to lock pick. Thankfully I tried a drawer and it was unlocked. I didn't want to make it too obvious I looked through his stuff. I saw an orange folder and opened it up. Inside were.....photos? I heard footsteps in the hallway so I took a few of the photos, put the folder down, closed the drawer, shoved some of the photos into my jacket and sat back down. Togami opened the door and walked back in. 

"Why are you still here?" Byakuya

"Um you told me to stay here." Makoto

"Fine now get out of my sight commoner." Byakuya

I quickly got up and exited the room. That was close.

(Byakuya POV)

After Naegi left I walked over to one side of the room where I had a hidden I-pad set up. There were no security cameras in the mastermind room and I didn't want any pubic feeds of what I do in this room but I still wanted some surveillance. I checked the I-pad and saw that Naegi had opened the drawer and took some pictures from the orange folder. I laughed, before the meeting I had planted that orange folder with specific photos. This was gonna be fun. I can't wait to see his reaction.

(I think there might actually be a camera in that room but for stories sake there is not.)
