CHAPTER 2 - THE BLIND DATE

AUTHOR'S P.O.V

Evelyn tried her best to pick up a very beautiful gift for her boss's date .She picked a Gucci handbag of lavender shade which had orange tiger stripes on it which could make any women fall in love with its beauty.
And for her part, she wasn't in the mood to dress up much ,so she picked a long, peach shade gown, which was not overly decorated but caught her eye immediately, the moment she saw the dress.

Although it was not overly decorated, but it did look pretty on her, however she didn't know it. From this line I remember a line from a song of the ONE DIRECTION , which is " YOU DON'T KNOW YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL OOO,THAT'S WHAT MAKES YOU BEAUTIFUL"." LOL JUST FELT LIKE ADDING IT AS IT CAME TO MY MIND SUDDENLY WHILE WRITING FOR THS SCENE".
While shopping for the event ,the whole time she looked at the time at her watch wanting to save as much time as possible and avoiding her life from becoming more miserable after hearing her ears out from her arrogant boss. After checking out in the shop's counter, she practically fleed out from the store to reach the office earlier. Her hurried steps led her to run into someone on the way out of the store MAKING HER THINGS FLY OUT FROM HER HANDS AND FALL TO THE GROUND WITH A THUD. "SORRY I WAS IN A HURRY SO I COULDN'T SEE YOU '', EVELYN apologized to the person she collided with .'' He was very good looking for a person .Infact he could be called pretty with those facial features .Although he wasn't mascular but his lean body definitely added to his good looks.
" IT'S OKAY .NO NEED TO APOLOGISE FOR THIS SMALL MATTER.LET ME HELP YOU ,''the good looking person in front of her smiled sheepishly at her and responded to her apology. He crouched down to pick her stuff that fell during their encounter and in order to make the situation less awkward, Evelyn crouched down at the same time to pick her stuff from the ground which unknowingly led to their fingers come in contact with one another . This incident led them to look at each other's eye for a moment and Evelyn practically felt blood rush at her cheeks as she felt them warm . After this short unknowing intimate counter ,she stood up allowing the person in front of her to help her because she didn't want the situation to become more awkward than before. ''HERE YOU GO '', he responded as he finished picking up her stuff and proceeded to hand it over to her with a smile that showed off his dimples beautifully. She took the stuff from him and uttered a THANK YOU to him with a smile .But suddenly she came to her senses and remembered that she had to accompany her boss on his blind date and she lost much time now . She uttered a small bye to him and rushed from there without waiting for his response . She practically shoved a bunch of people on her way while hurrying meanwhile earning a mouthful of curses from the passerbys in this process . He couldn't stop the smile that crept in his lips after seeing the clumsiness of the girl, he encountered just now . " CUTE ,"he thought to himself and proceeded on his way.

EVELYN'S P.O.V

''Today no one can save me from the devil himself . I am dead . I have to face the consequences I guess. But what would he do shout at me, lecture me , question my seriousness for my work or the worst , fire me from my job '', thinking about all the worst possibilities ,Evelyn kept walking until she saw a cab parked at the parking. She hailed the cab and she kept praying to god in her mind to save her from the worst yet to come situation .
