IV.PARADIS ISLAND

(Year 832)

After being turned to the Marley authorities, Grisha was subjected to nude torture as the soldiers attempted to get him to reveal who the Owl was by cutting off his fingers. Once they gave up on obtaining the information, Aera and the rest of the restorationists were taken to Paradis Island.

Aera sat on her knees beside her parents before a large Wall by the ocean.

"Dina...Aera..." Grisha called their name faintly.

"Why are you here?! I told them everything there is to know...!" He yelled.

"They're Roya-!" one of the Marley soldiers covered his mouth. "Silence!"

"Sheesh. Make him a Titan to shut him up already!" A fat soldier said.

Aera on the other hand was still widening her eyes since the betrayal of her younger brother. Clenching her teeth, teary eyes, and dejected expression.

"I don't want to....die.." She thought.

"Grisha...Aera....I..." Dina pauses as she got injected.

"No matter what form I take,
I promise I'll come and find you." She smiled at them.

"That's lovely. You'll make
a great Titan family." The sergeant chuckles.

"DINA!"

"MOTHER!"

Grisha and Aera screamed at the top of their lungs as they watch her transform into a mindless Titan. The Smiling Titan rushes to chase
Grice, who was kicked from the wall alive.

Aera's visions began to blur as her heart pounded swiftly. She can't die just yet, she still has unfinished business in her life. After witnessing her mother being transformed into a Titan, she was horrified. She widens her eyes, not hearing the sergeant and her father's conversation. It looked like that she had lost her mind. She could only hear a bird screeching, circulating the place. She looked up just to see a white eagle.

'Delphi...' She thought.

She exhaled, still ignoring the conversation between the men. The sergeant noticed her terrified expression then laughs. "Haha! It looks like your daughter here has lost her mind."

Grisha tilts his head to see his daughter. "Hey..it's going to be okay.." His father said faintly as Aera remained silent.

"Your father is right, girl. It's going to be okay because....." The sergeant paused as he goes closer to her preparing to inject her.

"Because you're next!" He yelled as he tried to inject her. Aera screamed in fear until a tall soldier stopped the sergeant then throws him off from the wall.

"Huh?" Her voice hitched as she turn her gaze onto the mysterious man. They watched the Sergeant being devoured by a Pure Titan as Grisha's voice quivered.

"I'm the Owl." The man stated as Aera's voice hitched. He reaches his gun then knocks Aera out, resulting in her having a concussion as Grisha shouts at the Owl. "AERA!"

"Relax....she's only asleep." The man said as Grisha look at him with furious eyes.

"You-"

"Shh...she's watching." He whispered under his breath pointing something at the sky.

Grisha narrowed his eyes and look up just to see a white bird, Delphi. He was confused at the Owls statement and asked "She?"

"Where... Am I??"

Aera woke up unaccompanied in a dark alley with her bird Delphi.

"Wait... I'm in..." She paused as she saw Walls afar from the Alley. 

She's inside the walls. She does not know how she got there.

She looked for her father but no one was there. She stood up from the ground and look for someone but she was stopped by a mysterious woman, who smelt like Berries. She could not properly see the woman's appearance cause it was dark. All she could see is the woman's glowing iris golden eyes.

She looked at Aera hauntingly, which spooked her out, and tries to run away from her but the woman grabbed her wrist and glances at her necklace.

"Where did you get this necklace?" The woman questioned her sternly. Aera did not answer her question, instead, she attempts to pull out from her grip but fails to do it.

"Are you a Royal?"

A/N: Yes, a short chapter. And to those who are wondering how Aera managed to get inside the walls.
Don't worry, this chapter will make sense once Aera inherits the Valkyrie Titan. So sit tight.
