XXXVII.HER ANSWER

(Year 852)

It took a year for the military officials to inform the volunteers about Aera, they decided to reveal her identity once the port finishes. In the port, the military awaited their visitor who is known to be Hizuru. Sometime later, the high ranked soldiers and the head government had a clandestine meeting with the Marleyan volunteers and the Azumabitos.

Kiyomi, the head of the Azumabito family were obliged after a small conversation with Mikasa who was known to be a descendant of the Shogun clan. Afterwards, they were informed about Aera's identity. With Yelena and the others surprised, they wished to see the Valkyrie Titan.

Before they could hold a meeting discussing Zeke's plan. The Military advised them to go hence to the Scouts Regiment's HQ, hidden somewhere at Mitras. It came time for them to see Aera face to face after the long wait. The head of the military officials was present, and Queen Historia and some of the royal council including Clyde attended.

Many of the Military knew that Aera will be very distrustful during the negotiation. But if Eren agrees with Zeke's plan, then Aera would associate too since she follows what her host does.

They did question her about the rumbling. The peculiar truth of the world within her was still a mystery to them, knowing that she have countless secrets lurking around her mind. Almost like the military wanted to urge her on speaking the memories of the world since she does not have the king's will but Aera never answered any of their questions and never spoke of the reason.

They knew she was plotting something. So they decided to hand over the Valkyrie Titan to a non-royal blood on her last year. But when the anti volunteers came to Paradis Island, their plan somehow have minor changes. They were about to commence their plan but after discovering the rumbling, they realized that Aera as the Valkyrie Titan plays a pivotal role when activating the event.

After hearing a proposal from Yelena and the others, the military and the government were unsure if Aera is willing to associate Zeke's plan but when Eren revealed Aera's 'true' intentions, which is protecting the Founder, they assumed that Aera will accept since she will do as her brother says.

She was told to prepare beforehand, though she was looking aloof of the coming occasion. There she was behind bars, sitting on her chair, in front of her was a long table, prepared for the meeting.

A moment later, a noisy chatter appears in the underground room. Queen Historia was the first one to set foot as three men behind her were tailing her, seemingly the royal council since Clyde's one of them. Next was the military head, the scouts, the visitors, and finally the anti Marleyan volunteers.

The room became crowded, a slightly loud chatter from the people echoed the place, some of the Marleyan tried having eye contact with Aera and even wanted to approach her but they were told not to. Clyde even gave her a somewhat glance before going to his seat. Eren acted that Aera was not there while the others were trying to occupy the seats before them.

Aera was silent, nothing else but sat there at the distance, menacing-looking similar to what criminals appear to be when they get consulted by people. There she listened to the meeting.

Kiyomi Azumabito revealed that she met Zeke sometime between Year 850 and 852. He said to her that he wishes to restore his ancestral homeland of eldia and how assisting him would in turn benefit Hizuru. He then offered her a vertical maneuver gear that he took from a scout during his mission at Paradis Island.

The gear had made Kiyomi somehow surprised by Paradis Island's powerful resources, she accepted without hesitation, believing that the resources of eldia would be able to make Hizuru strong again.
