A/N: I know...yeah...sorry

(Year 850)

"My...Lord Schrödinger...I did not know that you have a sense of humor." A noble lady chuckled, covering her face with a fan as Clyde sinisterly nodded.

Clyde was at a party full of nobles. He was told to attend the event to lure new acquaintances.

He has sent a few words to Aera through Delphi, he was surprised at how calm Aera is in the current situation. Her brother was nearly killed by the Female Titan and all she could do is to watch.

"Hm...Lord Clyde. I have heard that you and Vivienne were... companions." A noble stated.

"Dear..." The noble lady whispered onto her husband, trying to make him realize that he's currently talking to a Schrödinger.

"Oh...haha! Forgive me, Lord Clyde." The nobleman chuckled nervously as Clyde tilted his jaw with a sinister look.

"It's completely fine, good sir. Vivienne and I were companions," said Clyde.

"Oh! So it's true. I have heard that you graduated from the same academy as her. Tell me, Lord Clyde. What does it like?" The woman questioned as Clyde raises his eyebrows. "I mean what did it feel like to be her friend."

"Subtle and quite frankly chaotic." He answered before taking a sip of his wine.

"I see...both of you must have been close, how lucky." The noblewoman said. "I met her back in Year 843, she was present at my daughter's birthday party, she was accompanied with the late Frieda Reiss. When I approached Vivienne, she stormed off with a stern side glance as usual. Very rude."

Clyde adjusted his shoulders.

"She's a murderer... A person that deserves to be executed, killed her own family and countless soldiers. Nay, Lord Clyde?" The nobleman stated.

"I-yes..."

A moment later, someone suddenly yelled. "A toast to Lord Clyde! Our best supporter and apprentice yet!"

All people cheered joyfully at the Schrödinger, raising their glasses.

He made a sinister yet awkward smile. "Thank you..."

After the party, all of the nobles left. Clyde alone made his way to his carriage until he heard a familiar voice, calling him from afar.

"Yo, kid! Didn't expect to see ya here."

It was Kenny, sitting on the fountain as he holds a wooden cup of beer.

"What brings you here, Kenny?" The Schrödinger questioned the Ackerman.

"Nothin! Just took a break after work." Kenny said. "So how's it going?"

Clyde tilted his jaw. "Same as usual...doing what my father wants me to do. One mistake, yet again scolded."

"Ya got some daddy issues, ey?" Kenny took a deep sip on his beer as the Schrödinger raises his eyebrows, eyeing at the four bottles placed next to the Ackerman.

"Well... I did not know that you're a heavy drinker," said Clyde.

"Drinking is my hobby aside from sitting people's throats," Kenny said. "Well, speaking of slitting throats... Aera has been pretty silent and solemn these days."

Clyde's eyes lit up.

"Have been sending letters to her through Delphi. The kid's been very calm to the dangerous situations of what the Titan boy's been getting." The Ackerman said. "Have ya spoken to her?"

Clyde lowered his head with a stern expression, remembering that he recently fought with Aera.

"So, how's Aera?" He sat on the fountain next to Kenny. He looked at the ground with a solemn expression.
