XXXIII.DISAPPOINTMENT

(Year 850)

When Eren saw Grisha's conversation with Kruger regarding the Attack and the Valkyrie Titan's plan, he convinced himself to keep it a secret from his friends and comrades. He also finally know why Aera wanted to speak with him.

He had learned that just before the walls were made, Ezekiel and Annabelle happened to meet in one of eldia's former territories, a countryside. They acknowledged that they have similar abilities, Attack Titans can perceive their future holder's memories while Valkyrie Titans can view future events. They planned to sterilize the eldians then devised a plan for their future holder.

Centuries later, the Attack Titan was nowhere to be seen after the walls have been made, though he kept in touch with the Valkyrie, through a letter. Eren Kruger, who was known as the owl and the leader of the Eldian Restorationist, has been sending word occasionally to Agatha.

They both had agreed that Aera is the anointed successor and her father Grisha must be the one to take the Founding Titan out of the Royal Family's hands.

Meanwhile, Grisha was the second leader to the restorationist, the owl occasionally sends them a letter, informing their mission. Then there he had two children, Aera and Zeke. His wife, Dina Fritz was indeed a person with royal blood, a descendant of one of the Royal Family's branches that had stayed in the continent, refusing the first king's ideology.

Some years later, Zeke was told to join the Military in hopes to be a Marley warrior. The motherland had stated that they are looking for young eldians that are willing to fight for the nation. The Cart Titan, The Beast Titan, The Female Titan, and the Jaw Titan were at Marley's supervision, the holders of these Titans are eldians merely named as Honorary Marley warriors.

They will be the ones to choose their next successor. While Zeke was in the Military, Aera was told to study the true history of Eldia, though she was willing to also join the military in hopes of getting one of the Ten Titans, but her parents disagreed and reasoned her gender.

For pressuring Zeke, he betrayed them and exposed them, Grisha, Dina, and Aera were sent to Paradis Island to be turned into Titans. Eren was shocked that his father's wife happened to be the Smiling Titan who ate his mother. Once most of the members of the restorationist were kicked in the wall, Aera was presumably next to be turned into a Titan until the owl pushed the sergeant off the wall, calmly watching his superior being devoured by a Titan.

In a mere instant, Aera was knocked out by him, at Grisha's horror. Then there the owl told Grisha about his daughter's fate, the plan, and the truth of the world.

That was all Eren could see, he finally knows why Aera seeks him and wanted to speak to him. He reckoned she might have something to say, though the tight security outside her cell made it hard for him to reach her.

There, Eren finally knew what his Titan called.

"The Attack Titan..." He said faintly.

"What are you doing?" Hanji came out of nowhere.

"The Attack Titan." She imitated. "That's what you just said, right?"

"It's the name of the Titan that you inherited from your father, right? Like Aera, Why were you talking to yourself even though no one else was around?" She again questioned as Levi stepped in.

"Lay off, Hanji. He's fifteen. Everyone has a phase like this."

"Get out," said Levi monotonously, as he opened the cell's door.

"Hm? But I still have about ten days left of my punishment." Eren furrowed his eyebrows.

"You're done. You just got all ten days' worth from Hanji"
