Hayoon's POV
"Hey sis." I turned to see Hugo and walked towards him. He was meeting me in the lobby of the hospital after work, to pass me my stuff. We're also going to go get dinner. Late dinner.

"So, I got some of your clothes, as well as some necessities. Also your favourite Eevee toy. Oh and I packed your sneakers too."

"Thanks."

"You're staying at Heeseung's apartment?"

"Yeah. But he doesn't live there. Pretty sure he has a bigger apartment to himself." I explained, knowing my brother's protective side. He nodded in approval.

"Okay. But still be careful and stay vigilant."

"Mhm. Let's go get something to eat."

"BBQ? Dinner's on me." He said. Yay free food.

"Yep sure let's go." And I dragged him out.

"You're just excited about the free food."

"Yep."

"Tsk."

"What?"

"How's your finances coming along?"

"It's fine."

"You should open a personal bank account account."

"Yeah I'll do that another day."

"Tsk. You're alone now. You need to take care of yourself."

"I'm fine, don't worry. I'm hungry. Let's hurry find a place to eat."

"Okay. But, are you really never going back home?" I froze at the question.

"I don't know.... The past 2 years have been hell. Is he really angry?" I didn't even want to say dad. Dad? Pfft what's that?

"Very."

"Well, that's not my problem. If he wasn't so hard on his daughter and forced her to do the things that she didn't want to do, she'd never had flipped out like this." I rolled my eyes.

"Mhm. What about mom? Don't you miss her?"

"I...... I don't know. But it's not like I can see her. She's always with him."

"Mhm. Ooo this place looks good. Let's eat here." And we diverted the topic back to food, before it got anymore awkward than it already was.

--timeskip--

"Damn. This place is quite big." Hugo said as we entered my new home, which was already furnished.

"Hm.... I thought Heeseung said it was quite small?"

"Maybe compared to his house, it actually is small."

"Rich people."

"We're rich too, kinda."

"That's his money though. Not mine. I'm currently broke."

"Eh."

"How's Jake?"

"Staying out of everything."

"Pfft."

"He wants to talk to you though."

"Well, not now. I'm still wrapping my head around everything that's happening. It's all progressing too fast. Also, Heeseung doesn't want to face Jake or the others yet. He's stressed at work."

"Oh okay. But, when you're ready, call me to tell them."

"Mhm I will. Are you staying to help me unpack or-"

"Nope, you're on your own. See ya." Btch. But he did give me free food, so it's fine.

"Yeah yeah see you." And he left. I sighed and looked around the empty house, before I dragged the luggage to one of the rooms, and started unpacking my stuff. I should probably get a vacuum to clean up, since it's quite dusty. But, I still don't have the money, so that's gotta wait. Or I could use a cloth to wipe a bit of the furniture... Yeah I might do that for now.

So I took out a piece of paper and wrote a few things that I needed to do, which was mainly tidy up and keep track of my finances.

Then I was left alone, because I didn't want to go back to the hospital because it was boring, and painful just staring at him all the time. So, for the sake of my own sanity, I'm going to be focusing on myself for a while. Or, at least, get myself in the direction I want before even thinking of anything else, because living alone is neither easy nor fun.

I decided to buy some things I needed first, mainly food, so I went to the nearest convenience store to buy some instant ramyeon and tteokbeoki, as well as some onigiri and other microwavable food. I'm gonna have to survive on this for quite a while.

A ping from my phone displayed a message from Heeseung, saying that he was dropping by my (or his) house for a while. So I quickly hurried back after getting the food I would survive off on for the next few days.

Since Heeseung had the keys, there was no point in waiting for him. He was already inside, anyways, when I entered. He was packing some stuff into the fridge.

"What's all this?"

"Oh, you're back. These are just some side dishes my grandma prepared. She's kinda crazy with feeding me, and she gave me too much. So I decided to bring you some, since they probably would end up going unfinished if I didn't give them to someone. I don't want to waste it."

"Ah, thanks."

"No problem. So, how's everything?"

"Well, okay? I guess. I'm not sure. I've never been this.... free before."

"Mhm. You'll get used to it though."

"Yeah, slowly. But for now, I think I won't visit Jungwon as much. He's just.... adding to the pain."

"Mhm. Don't worry, we'll check on him for you. Maybe you visiting less would make him wake up." Heeseung laughed a bit, but the smile didn't reach his eyes.

"I hope...."

"So, uh, I won't bother you anymore. I should go check on Ni-ki too, or maybe try to find him because he's not at home." Right, they live together.

"Yeah sure. See you another time."

"Yep, see you. I'll bring more side dishes another time." I smiled softly.

"Okay, thanks. Bye."

"Bye!"

At least, in the dark, I have someone to count on...
