Kori's POV

"MOMMMMMM!!!! Come help me zip up my dresss." I yelled walked out into the hall.

I had to get and wear a dress because I had to go to church.

My auntie was doing the whole birth thing. The bringing the baby into the church.

I used to go to church when I was little, that stopped when I turned 6. I don't know what happened but we just stopped. I still believe in God and all but I just don't go to church anymore.

So I was forced to wear a dress. My braids were in its last days so I really had to finesse this style.

"Give me a sec!" She yelled back before I tried to zip it up again. No use.

I waited a good while before she got it for me.

When that was done I went downstairs seeing French toast and banana in a plate.

"I have to make sure you eat breakfast at least one a week." My dad said as I rolled my eyes. I decided to be a good Kori and take my vitamins as well.

I love my dads breakfast.

Once that was done I brushed my teeth and we all got situated in the car.

This is the one time my parents went religious in the car. Melodies from Heaven playing in the back.

The ride wasn't too terrible as Jamely was asleep.

I closed my phone again before just singing to the music.

When we got there it was like packed. But cuz we were special we got our seats. After 30 Willow finally came in and sat next to me.

The whole day wasn't terrible. The baby dedication was good. Family that I haven't seen in a while pulled up so I got to catch up with them.

The preaching was kinda boring, so I half slept through it.

Then they started digging on my mom to have Jamely dedicated. Likeeeeee that's her personal decision, the peer pressure within families is real.

"Kori, McDonald's?" My dad asked as we drove home.

"Yeahhhhhhh." I replied before he put on X gon give it to ya.

Like just a second ago we was at church.

at home 2pm

"bye mom, bye dad." I said giving each of them hugs since they were both in the kitchen.

"Aight stay safe and keep Willow out of trouble." My mom said in response and I nodded.

"This the most I ever seen you out. And you have only been out the house twice this year, on purpose." My dad added smiling. He always wanna be slick.

I walked outside seeing a car and Willow standing in front of it. Oh lawd where she tryna take me.

I gave her a hug before sitting in the back with her.

There were 3 other people in the car.

1 other girl and these two boys.
