Chapter Twenty-Six
Aurora washed her hands in the sink while her eyes stayed on Aiden in Zagerus's arms on the bed. After the meeting, Zagerus was around Aurora like a shadow. He even brought them in suite and didn't say a word about leaving. Aurora desperately wanted him to leave her and Aiden alone. His warmth scared her. It brought all those feeling that she wanted to feel again after everything. Zagreus played with Aiden on his lap while Aiden all did was giggle and smile showing his toothless gum. She never notice Zagreus looked so charming. He had a lean, Slim muscular body with perfect abs that were on display as he took off his coat over the couch and stayed in his white shirt. He had that boyish charm and masculine gentleman aura. It felt nice but she denied the feeling while drying her hands and walking back into the bedroom to watch Aiden and Zagreus. Zagreus looks up at her knowing she was about to speak something.
"You should leave!" She asked him and he watched her. "Aren't you bit rude to me!" Zagreus speaks with no emotion facing Aiden. "Your work is done here. You aren't supposed to entertain my son. You must have lots of things that need your attention."
"Well, As per your concern. I have my schedule clear for this meeting and I have nothing better to do. So I have decided to stay. Plus this is my penthouse suite, Hon!" Zagreus decided to drop the information to her while she was surprised and she covered it immediately. "Well I'm sure this is your hotel but Brooke won't make this mistake." She speaks knowing her frustration was about to drop over him. "He called Vincent while booking. This was the only room left so I asked him to give mine to you. You know baby this is high season!" Zagreus's smiled showing his dimple while Aiden decided to clutch over his shirt and lean over him. His hands immediately came around him holding Aiden there.
"You mean to say you aren't leaving from here!" Aurora asked and Zagreus smiled turning his attention back to Aiden. "That exactly I meant!" He speaks as Aiden giggle in his arms and Aurora frown over him. "Fuck You!" she hisses whispered turning her back while Zagreus watched her and smirked. "If you insist!"
Aurora froze as she heard him and turned towards him in shock. 'He is flirting!' She wondered in anger as she steps and grabbed Aiden from his arms and walked into the living room. Zagreus sighed huffing as he watched aurora leave. He wly rises up from his seat following her.
"You hate me!" Zagreus speaks as they were in the living room. Aurora was already over on the couch with Aiden and Aiden was looking at Zagreus. He wanted to get in his arms. aurora watched Aiden ready to jump in Zagreus's arms. Zagreus steps near taking seat beside her and takes Aiden in his arms as Aurora let him. She gave him no answer while Aiden enjoyed Zagreus's warmth and embrace.
Aurora shifts her glance watching Aiden enjoying his time with Zagreus like he found his father. "He is happy!" Zagreus smiles holding his son as Aurora just watched them. It was like everything was in place as she watched them.
"The penthouse has four bedrooms. You don't have to worry about anything else." Zagreus speaks as he shifts his face. "I know!" She speaks removing her eyes off him and watching Aiden. Zagreus could feel she was doing her best to avoid his presence.
Aurora could feel his sight over her when the door opened and Brooke walked inside without knocking. Zagreus watched and raised his eyebrows and Brooke ignored it. "The door wasn't locked!" He answered him. Zagreus moves to face Aiden while Aiden tried to stand over his lap while holding onto him.
Brooke takes seat passing files to Aurora. Aurora takes them and opens going to them thoroughly. Brooke's eyes fell on Zagreus as he enjoyed Aiden's company. 'She has no idea how he is playing with her life. Even if I open my mouth there are lots of things that will start crumbling!' He wondered.
"You guys are cousins aren't you suppose to communicate like brothers!" Aurora speaks as she grabbed the pen from the table and signs the papers. Brooke and Zagreus exchanged a look and Zagreus shrugged playing with his son.
"We loath each other more than love!" Zagreus replied while Brooke rolled his eyes as he grabbed the file from Aurora passing it to Zagreus. "My hand is full. I am sure she did sign it!" Zagreus speaks coldly while Brooke sighs getting up and leaving the room.
"Don't you trust me so much?" Aurora breaks the silence after a while watching Aiden tired ready to sleep in Zagreus's arms. "My family did trust your family. I believe in keeping the bond alive!" He answered getting up and walking into the bedroom. He placed Aiden in his baby crib and turns watching Aurora standing near the door watching them.
"Don't come near my son next time!" She asked moving away from the giving the sign to leave. Zagreus watched her and stepped near her as Aurora's breath halted finding him near her.
"I wondered if Aiden would like to stay away from me!" he smirked as he walked passed her leaving his cologne smell behind. She breathes watching Aiden sleeping soundly.
"I will make sure you stay away from my son. I won't like my son having a shadow of the mafia." She whispers it to herself. She grabbed her cell phone failing to someone. After a few minutes, the call was answered. "Brooke get the jet ready. We are leaving!"
It was night as Aurora walked around the room with Aiden in her arms when Brooke walked inside. "We are ready to leave!" He speaks and she nods her head as he grabbed her purse and they left the penthouse.
