Chapter Twenty-One

"Okay, so like the crazy thing happened to me literally yesterday," Allison began to explain to me as we drove together to go to school the Monday morning. "I was just filling up the 24/7 gas station, right? And then out of nowhere, it went dark. And suddenly, I was in my Dad's wearhouse where he kidnapped! He said something about their son's being soliders and the daughter's are trained to be leaders. It took me two and a half hours for me to escape."

"What?" I asked, absoutley bewildered by her story and she nodded. "Your family is insane."

Allison sighed. "It's not like I can get a new family. And my grandfather, Gerard, is still here even after Kate's funeral. I have a feeling he's bad news, Paige. And by the way, he's the new principal."

"What?" I know I kept saying that a lot, but, Allison's recently been filling me in on the gossips while I had a break. She seemed to be taking the news to the supernatural like a pro. "Allie, I love you, but your family makes me want to go to the Eichen House."

"Eichen House? What's that?" Allison asked.

"Where they send all the crazy people." I answered and spotted the school. I breathed in deeply. "Allison, can I ask you a question?" Allison made a noise in response as she pulled into a car park. "Where did they find me after I was bitten?"

"On the lacrosse field." Allison whispered. "You were in a state, that's for sure."

I nodded. "And it was Jackson that found us, right?" Allison nodded. "Great, now I have to thank him for saving my life."

"Or... Just pretend that no one ever told you that he did save your life?" Allison suggested, knowing that I felt uncomfrtable talking to Jackson after what he did to Lydia.

I nodded in agreement. "True. We have P.E first, right? With Lydia, Scott, and Stiles?" I questoned and Allison nodded in agreement. P.E was the only class all five of us have together. Oh, if I haven't mentioned already, they had found Lydia. Apparntly, she doesn't ever remember going crazy and running away screaming.

I watched as Allison and Scott climbed the wall in P.E class. It seemed pretty obvious that they were flirting with each other, but no one seemed to notice it other than me. I mean, I can smell their sexual desires, and it was rather invasive towards my nose. I felt like I couldn't breath.

"Ugh." I made a face. Lydia ignores me, being in her own little world. Stiles glanced over at questionaly. "I can smell their sexual desires, and it's invasive for my nose. I can't breath properly." I murmur to Stiles.

Stiles' eyes widen. "You can smell their sexual desires? You can do that?" I nodded. He blushed deeply and his eyes shifted away from me. I frowned, but ignored it. Surely it was nothing. I decided to ignore ask him and glanced at Scott who fell, the harness catching him.

Coach allows himself a malicious laugh. "McCall, I don't know why, but your pain gives me a special kind of joy." Coach grinned. "All right, next two. Stilinski. Erica. Let's go."

Stiles steps alongside Erica Reyes, a girl whose nerves look as frayed as her hair. While Stiles ascends with enviable speed, Erica slowly drags her out-of-shape body up. While they were doing this, Scott and Allison seemed to be avoiding each other painfully obvious, by the way. Allison stood by me and Lydia, while Scott stood alone.

As Stiles lands back down on the mats, everyone else looks up to Erica. Pinned on the wall, she's not moving. "Erica? You okay? Dizzy? Vertigo?" Coach asked.

Lydia and I were next in line and she lets out an audible sigh. "Vertigo's a dysfunction of the vestibular system of the inner ear. She's just freaking out." Lydia explained.
