When you closed the book, your friends groaned in disappointment. Ray leaned forward, "What? Why did you stop reading?" he questioned, a hint of longing in his voice. Cream hugged her chao tightly, whispering, "I need to know what's going to happen next!"

Charmy flopped down on his sleeping bag, pouting. "You can't leave us hanging like this, Y/n! We need to know what happens!" His wings drooped in sadness, hoping for a satisfying ending to their makeshift literary adventure.

You couldn't help but chuckle at their desperation. "Of course, I'll continue," you assured them, their eyes sparkling with hope. "But not tonight. Tomorrow night," she declared mischievously, enjoying their shocked expressions.

The joy on their faces quickly transformed into disappointment. Charmy whined in despair, "But we're going home tomorrow morning! Why can't you just tell us now?" The others nodded in agreement, their hearts yearning for the conclusion of the story.

You sighed to see their pleading gazes. "Oh well... The next time then. Now it's time to sleep, you four," she said, with a hint of authority. Tails, who had been quietly sulking in the corner, grumbled, "Don't include me in this. I have better things to do."

Smiling, you playfully ruffled his bangs. "You also need sleep, Tails," you insisted, your voice filled with warmth. Tails let out an exaggerated huff, but deep down, he appreciated your care and concern for his well-being.

Charmy, not one to let an opportunity slide, chimed in with his teasing. "If you have better things to do, why are you here? You love listening to her stories, don't you?~ Just admit it!" he exclaimed. Tails flopped back and tugged the blanket over his face, mumbling, "I don't know what you're talking about. I'm asleep."
