Writer's POV
Aarav looked at Anika's appearance - she was wearing a yellow straight kurta with a slit around her waist along with white pants. Her hair was long and open.
"Beautiful," He was mesmerised at her beauty.
"Kya kaha Aarav?" Anika asked him. (What did you say, Aarav)
"Kuch nahi (nothing), come sit here, let's talk." Aarav pulled her and made her sit down on the bed.
"There is something in the bed. You sat on it." Aarav made an excuse to make her stand up again.
Basically lying to get the job done.
"What is it?" - "I felt that there was something"
She stood up but found nothing.
"There's nothing," She says and tries to sit back, but she didn't even notice that Aarav had left open the back portion of her kurta and made sure she didn't sit on it.
Then, both of them started chatting.
Aarav - How are you, Cherry? I am so happy to meet you after so long but not here.
Anika - Nothing, a student of mine used scissors to injure me, making me land up here. But now I think I got to meet you because of this accident. It was for good only.
Aarav - Your palm is injured. Harsh, did you check her fingers if they have normal sensations.
Aarav - Stop being a doctor, Aarav, at the moment I don't like it. I am not able to digest the fact that you became a doc.
She almost scolded me.
Aarav - That means you are a teacher. Do you stop being a teacher anytime. Just now, you scolded me. How do you expect the same from me.
Anika - Don't talk to me like that. Teachers are not meant for scolding only. I am not feeling good. Dr. Harsh, can I leave now?" She asked Harsh.
Harsh - Let me check your fingers. After that you can go.
He grabbed both her hands.
It's time for Aarav to inject her.
Aarav felt guilty to do this, but it was necessary as Harsh decided it, in whom he had full faith.
Taking out the injection from his pocket and uncapping it, he discarded the first few drops of the liquid.
Aarav was seated on her left side, and Anika was tilted towards her right. So he was basically behind her back.
Aarav needed to expose the spot without letting her know.
Harsh and Aarav made eye contact, Harsh blinked his eyes and nodded a little, which gave Aarav a green signal.
Aarav immediately swabbed the injection site and pulled down her pants in the process.
Her attention was on Harsh. Perfect timing.
Inserting the syringe 💉 into her skin very gently, he started pushing the medicine, trying to make it as painless as he could.
Anika was feeling uncomfortable, trying to figure out what's wrong.
She moved her body because of pain, but Aarav continued injecting.
As the medicine was making its way in, the pain turning stronger, Anika looked back and was shocked to see the scene.
She tried to stop him but was stopped by Harsh.
She felt a little embarrassed to get it in her back by her childhood friend and in the presence of Dr. Harsh.
Aarav pulled out the syringe after administrating it and placed cotton on the spot and was going to rub it, but Anika took the cotton from him in anger and, without rubbing the spot, just dressed up properly.
Anika was hurt as well as embarrassed.
Not to forget in pain, too.
"I am sorry, Cherry, but it was necessary." Aarav didn't waste time to apologise.
"I am not speaking to you, Aarav. We met after so long. This is what you choose to do." Anika was furious at Aarav.
"But you had to get this, Anika. You didn't want that wound of yours to pain. I told him to do it." Dr. Harsh stepped in.
Anika didn't want to be rude to Dr. Harsh. So, she kept calm for the time being.
"So I am assuming you forgave me, Anika." Aarav says, keeping his fingers below her chin and moving her head towards him to make eye contact.
Anika instantly forgave him by looking at his eyes, but she recalled something and responded, "Dr. Harsh had told me he was giving me the shot in my arm."
"Harsh, really, you were giving her this shot in her arm, such a heavy dose, i can't believe." Aarav was confused.
"Anika, TT is yet to be given, so stay still for that." Harsh was ready to give her the 2nd shot.
This made Anika turn towards Harsh.
He quickly inserted an injection in her arm, not giving her time to act.
She was shocked once again.
She hadn't anticipated 2 injections.
Anika stayed quiet, knowing she couldn't fight with both being together.
She was thankful, though, that the other one was in the arm.
Very soon, it was over.
This one not being painfull making her happy and getting a chance to tease Aarav.
"Kuch seekho aapne dost se injection kaise dete hai, bilkul Dard nai hua." Anika teased Aarav.
(Learn giving injections from your friend. It didn't pain at all).
"Han to agli baar jab injection lena pade to natak mat karna." Aarav said, trying to make out a way for future events.
(Then, next time, don't make a fuss when you have to take an injection)
"I will make a fuss, do want you want to do." She says and Aarav sighs..
"You are still a kid, Cherry, Red face with 2 ponytails as in a pair of Cherry 🍒 , i can't forget that look of yours." Aarav says and gives her a sidehug.
"Even I can't forget your look, padhaku with specs, a bookworm and always a topper, that's why Champ"
Kaira comes back into the room and assumes that she has been given the injection.
"I am assuming you both have done what seemed impossible." She asks to everyone in general.
"Yeah, finally, thanks to Aarav," Harsh replied.
Anika introduces kiara to Aarav, and both of them shake hands.
"Before I forget to say, the principal has wished you good health, and said you can take tomorrow off if you need."
"I will go, no need for a holiday." Anika replied casually.
"Absolutely not." All 3 of them said together.
But Anika had other plans.
