Perhaps I did get you wrong.
You just looked in my direction
and I thought it was your affection.
So I loved you stronger. It was never your affection,
it always was only your attention
that you gave me.
Because you always sat with her under the tree.We spilt all our secrets until our eyes got heavy
and loving you became even more easy.
But I was never 'the one',
you picked everyone else
and kept me on the shelf.
I was only your second option. There's a difference between having a crush and liking someone.
And I know, I liked you.
Eventually, loved you too.
I swear everytime you looked into my eyes,
I thought you knew
as my love for you grew. The twinkling of your eyes,
were only lies.
The red in your cheeks
somehow made me weak.
The way you felt against my arm,
made me lose my calm.
You were someone I liked
and maybe you liked me too?
