I wish I could look at you lovingly
the way the enchanting moon looks at you.
I wish I could be close to you all the time
the way the wind is.
I wish I could warm you on winter mornings
the way the ethereal sun does.
I wish I could touch you
the way the gentle rain does.
I wish you looked at me
the way I look at the vast, dreamy, colourful sky,
and the way you look at the beautiful cherry blossoms.
I wish you saw yourself through my eyes
for only then will you know
how beautiful you really are.
