As I sat alone in my small, unfamiliar apartment, tears streamed down my cheeks. I had just found out that I was pregnant, and instead of feeling the joy and excitement that I had always imagined, all I could feel was overwhelming sadness.

I had moved to this new city for a job opportunity, leaving behind my friends and family for a chance at a better life. But now, as I faced this unexpected pregnancy, I realized just how alone I truly was.

The walls of my apartment seemed to close in on me as I thought about how I would navigate this pregnancy all by myself. I had no one to share my fears and worries with, no one to hold my hand during my first doctor's appointments, and no one to celebrate with when I felt the first kick.

My thoughts drifted to my family and friends back home, and I couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy. They were all surrounded by loved ones, and here I was, thousands of miles away, facing this daunting journey on my own.

I tried to push away the negative thoughts and focus on the little life growing inside of me. But as I placed my hand on my stomach, I couldn't help but feel a sense of emptiness. I longed for someone to share this experience with, someone to be there for me when I needed them the most.

Feeling overwhelmed, I buried my face in my hands and let out a sob. The weight of my loneliness and the weight of this pregnancy felt too heavy to bear.

But then, amidst my tears, I heard a knock on my door. I hesitated for a moment before getting up to answer it. To my surprise, it was my new neighbor, a kind elderly woman who had welcomed me to the building when I first moved in.

She had brought me a small bouquet of flowers and a plate of homemade cookies. As she handed them to me, she noticed my tear-stained face and gently asked if I was okay.

Without hesitation, I poured out my heart to her, telling her about my pregnancy and how alone I felt. And to my surprise, she wrapped her arms around me and offered to be there for me every step of the way.

In that moment, I realized that even though I may be physically alone in this new city, I didn't have to face this pregnancy alone. I had my new neighbor, and I knew that with her by my side, I could get through anything.

Mrs. Jenkins' and i saw on my sofa, my elderly neighbor who always had a kind smile for me whenever I saw her. I always would open the door and welcome her in with a warm hug.

It's okay dear sometimes things happens with a reason.' she said while making tea for me.

I sat down on the couch, taking a deep breath before starting to speak. 'Mrs. Jenkins, I feel like you're the only one I can talk to.'

She sat down next to me, her gentle eyes fixed on mine. 'Of course, dear. You can always tell me anything.'

I took another deep breath before starting to pour my heart out again. 'I'm alone for this pregnancy, Mrs. Jenkins. I won't tell my father and my friends are all off to college. I feel like I have nobody to turn to.'

Mrs. Jenkins placed a comforting hand on my shoulder. 'I know, my dear. You know i see myself in you, when i was your age i was also pregnant and couldn't tell no one and just ran away.'

Tears started to well up in my eyes as I continued. 'And the worst part is, I don't even have a grandma or mother figure in my life. My own grandma passed away when I was little and I never got to experience that special bond. But you, Mrs. Jenkins, you've always been so kind to me. You remind me of what it would feel like to have a loving grandma.'

Mrs. Jenkins' eyes softened and she pulled me into a hug. 'I may not be your grandma, but I am here for you, my dear. And I am so honored to be considered a grandma figure to you.'

I couldn't hold back my tears anymore and I let them flow freely. Mrs. Jenkins held me in her arms and let me cry, offering words of comfort and love.

After a while, I pulled away from the hug and wiped my tears. 'Thank you, Mrs. Jenkins. I don't know what I would do without you.'

She smiled warmly at me. 'Anytime, my dear. And don't forget, you're not alone. You have a whole community here to support you.' after a while Mrs. Jenkins' left my apartment.
