Alana felt as if her soul was about to flow out of her body in shock. Lorenzo’s lips were pressed against her and she could feel the softness and his hot breath that spew on her face.

After a while, they pulled away, still dazed, and she gasped for breath, ignoring the shocked Daniel who seemed to be petrified on his spot. Her cheeks flushed and Lorenzo also seemed a bit bashful. She might have imagined that the tips of his ears turned red.

The man coughed and went back to his spot, his gaze was directed somewhere else, as if not daring to look straight at her. Meanwhile, she also didn’t dare to believe what had just happened.

“You, you…” Daniel’s eyes were wide as he stared at the flustered man and woman. Then, he just let out a sigh and walked out of the restaurant with slumped shoulders.

The two of them still didn’t speak for a long time until the silence was getting more uncomfortable. There was a tense atmosphere hanging around them, waiting for the one who would break the silence first.

“I am sorry.” Lorenzo finally apologized. “He still insisted on going out with you even after I said that I am your boyfriend, and I couldn’t help myself.”

“That’s fine…” She bit her lips, trying to adjust her chaotic emotions. Actually, she wasn’t fine. The feelings that she thought had gone a long time ago surfaced again.

Lorenzo was like a dazzling star every time he went, and including her, couldn’t help but be mesmerized by him. The Lorenzo that was cold and unapproachable hadn’t existed in her life until the night changed everything between them.

He pretended as if that night didn’t happen and became distant. For her, who realized his intention that it was impossible for them to be together, then threw those feelings away. Yet, she didn’t expect that man to make such a bold move.

Until their food arrived, her mind was still somewhere else.

“Be careful, it’s hot,” Lorenzo warned her, which was too late. The food was already in her mouth and she was forced to spit the hot sliced meat back on a tissue. Her tongue felt like it was burned.

“Drink carefully.” He also seemed a bit panicked as he shoved his iced drink to her lips.

She gulped the iced drink, and the cold sensation numbed her tongue.

“Are you feeling better? Drink again.” Lorenzo handed the drink to her worriedly.

“It’s alright, thank you. Sorry for showing you my embarrassing side.” Alana glanced at him, then looked down, covering her face.

Lorenzo had grabbed the nearest drink to him in his panic, which happened to be his. She remembered that he had just drunk from that glass too, so wasn’t that considered an indirect kiss from them again?

“I will be happy if you are feeling comfortable around me that you show me all your sides,” Lorenzo suddenly said. He reached for his hand to trace the falling hair cascaded down to her shoulder, then put them behind her ear. “Under the premise that you don’t hurt yourself, of course.”

Alana pursed her lips. How could she not understand what he meant? However, after her marriage with Albert in the previous life, it still left a scar on her heart. Albert had treated her so kindly, like he loved her from the bottom of his heart.

Just like flipping the side of a coin. It was still the same coin, but the image in it had changed to a different thing. It was just how fast Albert changed the way he treated her. If she recalled the relationship between her and Lorenzo back then, she was also afraid that she might have misunderstood his intention and he would act so coldly again.

“Are you free tonight?” Lorenzo asked her.

She instinctively shook her head and was taken aback by his next action. It was the glass that she had just taken a sip of. A slight blush creeped to her cheeks upon realizing that Lorenzo didn’t seem to mind drinking from the same glass.

“It’s not hot. Try this.” He took a spoon of peeled shrimp and fed her.
She took a bite, slightly helpless. Then, after she began to chew on it, her eyes lit up.

“Is it good?” There was a sparkle in Lorenzo’s eyes.

Alana nodded, and she also began to take a spoonful of the pasta on the table and feed him back. “Try this too. It’s my favorite.”

Lorenzo took the pasta into his mouth, and he nodded in agreement. “It’s really good.”

A moment later did she realize that most of the food on the table were her favorite dishes. She glanced at Lorenzo, who was busy eating and found that the elegant way he was enjoying his dishes to be a pleasant sight.

This man knew a lot of things about her that even she herself didn’t realize.
“Are you going out with someone tonight?” Lorenzo glanced at her.

She blinked, then said. “Oh, it’s Lilah. She is going to spend a night at my place. It’s for celebrating her achievement after getting a role in Director Murphy’s new movie.”

Alana seemed so happy that her eyes narrowed into a crescent shape.
“Didn’t you also write the script for that movie?”

Lorenzo kept adding some bits of the part of the dishes she liked to her table, and she didn’t mind. He liked to see her eyes beaming in excitement as she savored her favorite dishes. It was like the glittering of the stars when she was happy.

“How do you know? Did my brother tell you?” She had a pondering look on her face.

Lorenzo just nodded and hummed something quietly. After a while, they finished eating.

“Alana, where are you?” Her brother asked her the moment their call connected. Shortly after they finished having lunch, they were now back in Lorenzo’s car.

“I am with Enzo.” She said after she sat in the passenger seat. Lorenzo helped her to wear the seatbelt, making her flattered.

“Enzo?! You mean Lorenzo? When are you two getting so close?” Her brother yelled through the phone that she had to move her ear away from her phone.

“You are going to make people deaf, Jayden.” Lorenzo said with a calm face, in contrast to his friend’s emotional tone.

“Where are you? I am going there.” Jayden gritted his teeth and asked.
“I will escort her to her apartment safe and sound. You don’t need to worry about it.”

Alana subconsciously nodded cutely, although her brother couldn’t see her. She coughed and then reassured her brother. “Yeah, don’t worry. By the way, see you later, brother. Be careful there and don’t forget your lunch.”

Before Jayden could respond, she hung up the call. After she went through her list of missing calls, she found some from Albert, but she decided to ignore him. There were also some messages from Lilah.

It wasn’t long before they arrived at her apartment. Lorenzo opened the car door for her like a gentleman and after she was out, she thanked him.

At night, as she spent the night with Lilah having a sleepover at her place, she was in a lot of dazes. Her mind kept coming back to her date with Lorenzo earlier, and sometimes her cheeks would flush.

“Are you alright, Alana?” Lilah couldn’t help but put her hand on her forehead to check whether her friend was really alright.

“Oh?” She gazed at Lilah confusedly.

“Your face is red,” Lilah said, then, as if she thought of something, she smiled suggestively.

Her brother had visited her briefly earlier, and he had a dark face when he brought up about Lorenzo. He left after he helped her to shop for grocery. Lilah must have heard her conversation with her brother.

She suddenly was reminded of Lorenzo. Alana sat on her bed, her eyes unfocused, as if she was deep in thinking about something. At Lorenzo’s sudden change, she didn’t know whether it was good or bad. She remembered the memories some years ago and couldn’t help but fell into a whirlwind of reminiscence.
