Chapter 52

Six days later

I've been out of the house for six days now.
The night I got enough rest I decided to come to the flower field Frankenstein made for me, and I stayed here for six days. I never left nor did I see Rai or anyone else during the pass time...not even Vince.
I needed time to calm down and clear my head.

Mei: ...yet may the tides ever change....

I can't remember the last time I ever got mad at Rai....only once, but that happened a long time ago.
I'm a bit calm and composed now.

Mei: ....I had a dream a few nights ago....Rai, have you ever seen Amber roses?

I noticed rai's presence behind me, but he stood a few feet away...I guess he still thinks I'm upset at him.

Mei: ....I don't think they exist....I bet they look very lovely.

Raizel: .....

I look back and lock eyes with rai.

Mei: come stand next to me rai, I'm not angry at you.

He stood still for a moment, then walked his way right next to me.
We stood in silence for a good long minute, before rai offered out one of his hands for me.
I took his hand and intwined my fingers to his.

Mei: ...rai, I'm sorry I yelled at you.

Raizel: ...You are not at fault, mei.

Mei: neither are you....You are what you are created to be.

He pulled me close to his chest, and wrapped his arms around my waist in a firm grip. He held me steady and stared deep into my eyes.

I swear this man can stare me into submission.

Raizel: mei.

Hearing him say my name alone sent shivers down my spine.

Mei: yes, Rai.

Raizel: I've missed you the passed six days.

Mei: I too have missed you.

He reached up with one of his free hands, and moved the hairs from my face, revealing my green eye.
He then leaned down and kissed me. The kiss was soft and gentle and filled with a deep longing.

Raizel: mei, I love you.

Mei: ....

I decided, in this moment, to tease rai a bit.

Mei: the feeling is mutual.

I gave him a small playful smile and let out a light giggle, which gave me away quickly. He returned the smile and kissed me again.
But then, out of nowhere, rai started to tickle my sides.

Mei: pffft....HAHAHAHA, stooop!!!! RAI! STOP! AH! Stop!

I couldn't get free, I was trapped in his grasp as he kept relentlessly tickling me.

Raizel: say it.

Mei: This is not playing fair! Hahaha!

Raizel: come on, mei. say it.

Mei: ...OKAY! Okay!...I love you rai!! I LOVE YOU STOP! Hahaha!

Rai had finally stopped, and I had to take a second to breath from all the laughing.
Then, I heard a light chuckle coming from rai.

Raizel: it's been a while since I last seen your ears.

Mei: ....?

I didn't realize through all my laughter that my cat ears had popped out of the top of my head.

How embarrassing....

Raizel: cute.

Mei: eh?

Raizel: ....your so cute.

I hid myself quickly in rai's chest, to hide my flushed red face.

Raizel: hmph. Mei, stop hiding your face. Let me see it.

Mei: ......

Raizel: ...show me. Or I'll grab your tail.

Crap!
I had completely forgotten my tail.
When I felt rai grab my tail, I jolted back, but rai had a firm grip on me that he kept me in place, Not letting me go.
I looked back up at him, locking eyes once again.

Mei: ...t-there...happy?

Raizel: ....!!

This time rai turned his head and looked away from me.

Mei: ...?

I cocked my head in confusing.

Is he...blushing?!
Oh this is just precious.

Mei: pfft...

I grab his face with both my hands and turn his head back to me, and I kissed him again.

Mei: your cute too. Hahaha.

Suddenly a small ring came from rai. He reached into his vest and pulled out his phone.

Raizel: ...it is snack time.

Mei: already?

Raizel: Mei, will you be returning home.

Of course I want to go back. Even though it was a short time, I really miss everyone. I bet they were all worried about me...I bet the kids are worried too. And i do miss the school.
But...I like to get my moments in.

Mei: hmm....I will. If...You get down on one knee and beg me.

Rai looked at me with a sly grin.
He reached for my left hand, and I watched as he kneeled down on one knee.

This brings back so many memories.

Raizel: Cadis Etrama Di Mei....Will you please return home with me, and continue to stay by my side?

I felt my breath hitch in my throat.
I nodded my head.

Mei: Cadis Etrama Di Raizel....yes. of course I will.
