TODAYS THE DAY TO FIND OUT WHO TESSA'S DAD IS OMG

[ CHAPTER 43 ]

Tessa's POV

I leave to go meet my birth father and I can't help but be super fucking nervous.

I decide to call Zach to hopeful calm my nerves.

"Hey beautiful, what's up?" He answers.

I smile, "I'm on my way to meet my birth father."

"Don't worry I'm on my way!" He screams into the phone.

I pull the phone away from my ear, "Zach stop!" I yell.

He stops and laughs.

"You nervous?"

"Well duh. It's my birth father."

"Don't be nervous. He'll love you. Everyone loves you, Tess."

I sigh, "but still. He doesn't live in California he came out here to do this. What if he wants to take me back east with him?"

"You don't have to go with him. If you don't want a relationship with him, you can always have him sign the abandonment papers and then get emancipated." He reminds me, which calms me down.

He always knows what to say.

"Okay, yeah. Yeah you're right."

"Okay baby, I love you so much but I have to go. I will see you later."

"Okay bye Zachary. I love you."

"I love you too, good luck babe." He says and then makes a kiss noise through the phone and hangs up.

I pull up to my social workers building and head into her office.

"Hey, Tessa. You ready for this?" She asks, smilely when I walk in.

"Yeah sure. I'm super ready. Not nervous at all." i say sarcastically.

"Don't be nervous. But to probably make you more nervous, he brought his two sons. You have brothers! Surprise!"

"Oh my god. I'm gonna die." I say and sit down.

"No you aren't. Now come one and get up they've been waiting for a while now." She says pulling me up.

She drags me down the hallway to a room.

"They are right behind this door." She smiles.

"Okay," I whisper. "I can do this."

She nods, "good luck." She says and then walks back to her office.

I get ready and then open the door.

I see Logan and his brother and then an older guy sitting there talking.

"Logan?" I ask.

They all turn to me, "Tess?" Logan asks.

"What are you doing here?" I ask him and sit down.

"My dad brought us here to meet someone." He shrugs, "what are you doing here?"

I look from their dad and back to them. Their dad looks shocked and then I make the connection.

"No," I whisper.

Their dad nods.

"No," I say.

Their dad nods again.

Or should I say our dad?

"Why do you keep saying no? And what are you doing here?" Logan asks.
