Ronnie was sitting on the couch, reading the newspaper with; 'MURDERS, DISAPPEARANCES, POSSIBLE WORK OF A SERIAL KILLER' was the headline. Charlie was beside her, watching the TV.

The front door closed and Bella walked in. "Four o'clock on the dot." Charlie said as she sat down beside Ronnie. "That kid trying to brown nose me now or something?"

"He has a name." Bella scoffed. "And now he's too punctual for you?"

Ronnie let out a laugh as she placed the paper on the table.

"Okay," Charlie took a deep breath, sitting up in the chair, looking at the two girls. "You both understand why you're being punished, right?"

"I know." Bella was the first to speak. "I put you through hell."

"And I lied." Ronnie raised her hand up in the air.

"Yes, you did." He looked between them. "But I have other reasons for grounding you, girls. I want you two to have some separation from them."

Bella and Ronnie both looked at one another. "Dad, Paul and Edward are in our lives."

"Yeah, I'm gathering that." He sat back and took a sip from his beer. "Okay, so, how about this? We'll make a deal. You're both not grounded anymore if  you both use your new found freedom to see some of your other friends, too, like...Jacob." Ronnie quickly turned to Bella, knowing she didn't even want to hear Jacob's name mentioned. "Look. I know Paul is friends with him, but, you know, hang out with Embry and Quil, like the good old days." Ronnie actually wouldn't mind hanging with Embry or Quil. Aside from Harry's funeral, she hasn't seen much of them. Especially Quil, as he doesn't know the whole wolf secret. "Jake's going through a really rough time right now. Billy's really worried about him."

Bella and Ronnie both agreed to Charlie's conditions and headed up the stairs. "Ronnie, Jake hasn't spoken to me in weeks." Bella said as they entered Ronnie's room. "Has he spoken to you?"

"No," she shook her head. "Paul said he's been pretty distant with the pack. He just needs space, Bells."

"I know, but-"

"Hey, why don't we go to Emily's one of the days after school?" Ronnie interrupted her. "I'm pretty sure he'll be there. That means you can make up with Jake, and I can hang out with Embry."

"Okay." Bella agreed to Ronnie's plan.

Graduation was soon upon the Swan twins. For Ronnie, graduation meant that Bella would be turning into a vampire soon and she wouldn't have her sister anymore. The last couple of weeks, she tried to push it to the back of her mind, but every so often, it'd pop up.
