Kartik's POV

I was in the living room watching Ahana play with Nidhi. Sahil and Aatish  were standing in the farthest corner of the room whispering something to each other.

They better not be plotting plans against Nidhi!!

I walked towards them and looked at them.

"What are you guys discussing? Is it something serious?", I asked them crossing my arms across my chest.

Sahil and Aatish looked down.

"Look at me", I ordered.

They looked at me.

"I won't tolerate any mischief and any pranks against Nidhi....she is gonna be my wife in few weeks and I won't tolerate anything against my wife...do you get that? Please convey the same to Siya and you all must follow my orders otherwise you know the consequences", I warned them in my deadly bossy tone.

Aatish showed no expressions while Sahil's face was softening a little. It seemed as if he was about to cry. His face showed mixed expressions of anger and hurt.

I sighed and cupped Sahil's face.

"Sahil....please try to understand. I know this is sudden but I am doing this for your betterment only. It will help you to bond with Nidhi after I get married to her. I know this is new for you but please Sahil, for my sake try to be nice with Nidhi", I explained him but he continued to look at me with the same expression.

I sighed.

"Hi Nidhi...wassup?", I heard someone say from behind.

I turned to look at Siya sitting beside Nidhi and talking nicely to her.

Okay....so this is shocking!!

Stressing on NICELY!!

"Everything fine...how are you sweetie?", Nidhi asked her back.

"How do I look?", Siya asked her with a straight face.

Nidhi got confused.

"I look fine, right?", Siya asked her back.

"Yes...you look absolutely fine", Nidhi replied back.

I looked at Naira and gave her a 'how did this happen' type of look. She returned an assuring look. I sighed in relief.

Okay...so Naira made this magic happen!!

"You know what...at first I used to doubt dad's choice but now looking at you, I tend to think that I was wrong", Siya said in a sugar tone.

Nidhi blushed.

How come did she become so sweet?!

I looked back at Sahil and Aatish. They were looking at Siya with a shocked expression on their faces as if she was a zombie!

"You really dont look like you're gonna become my mom...you look like my elder sister", Siya continued.

Nidhi cleared her throat.

"Okay....so that'll be a very inappropriate compliment I guess", Nidhi said a little embarrassed, showing her sheepish smile.

Siya turned to look at me.

"Dad why are you standing there? Why don't you join us?", Siya said looking at me.

I stood there, confused. I nodded and walked towards the sofa to sit in between Nidhi and Siya.
