KARTIK'S POV

It was morning and time for Ahana to wake up. So I paved my way towards her room and walked inside. She was still sleeping. I smiled looking at her sleeping peacefully. I drew aside the curtains and let the sun rays in.  I sat beside her on the bed and caressed her hair.

"Princess...", I called out softly.

She moved a little bit and twisted her body. She slowly opened her eyes but then squinted em' because of the sunlight.

"Baby....its your birthday today", I said and began tickling her. She opened her eyes at once at started laughing. I chuckled and placed several kisses on her forehead.

I picked her up and made her sit on the bed.

"How many years does my baby turn today?", I asked her.

"Seven", she said showing her seven fingers.

"Happy Birthday Ahana!!!", Naira entered along with Nidhi, Aatish and Sahil all of em' wearing birthday caps on their heads. All of em' were holding balloons and gifts.

"Happy Birthday baby", Naira said kissing her forehead.

"See...we've brought so many gifts for ya", Nidhi said showing Ahana the gifts.

"Daddy....can I unwrap them now?", Ahana asked showing me her puppy eyes.

"No princess....not now. The unwrapping session begins after the party at night", I said tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.

"Oh no", Ahana said disappointed.

"Oh yes", we all said in unison.

"Ahana....you are gonna share half of the chocolates you get with me, right?", Sahil reminded Ahana.

"No way. All the chocolates belong to me....its my birthday", Ahana replied.

"You little betrayer....we had a deal remember?", Sahil asked Ahana, raising his eyebrow.

"That deal has gone to garbage", Ahana replied as she stuck out her tongue.

"Guys....can you both please stop fighting now? Sahil....its Ahana's birthday, so all the chocolates and gifts belong to her", I said putting an end to the fight between both of them.

"Then I guess everyday's her birthday because she always gets everything she demands", Sahil said looking at Ahana with narrowed eyes.

"Why won't I? I'm daddy's princess", Ahana replied kissing my cheek and wrapping her arms around my neck.

"Yes....an unkind one", Sahil replied.

"Okay guys....stop this sibling rivalry okay. Today's a special day, so let's enjoy it", Naira said cheering up all the kids.

"But....I miss Siya", Ahana said making a sad face.

"Its okay Ahana....but I'm here, right? Come on, we'll decide the games for your birthday party", Aatish said picking up Ahana and carrying her on his back.

"Okay...Naira will you help me with the decorations?", I asked Naira.

"Of course", she replied.

I looked at Nidhi.

"Babe...you've done much work yesterday. So, I want you to rest today okay?", I instructed Nidhi.

"Sure babe", she replied.

I smiled and left the room with Naira.
