SIYA'S POV

All of us Goenka kids were playing ludo in the living room. Just then, dad came back from office. He handed over his bag to Naira.

"Hi babe", Nidhi came from the bedroom and hugged dad.

"Hi", dad replied releasing the hug.

Dad looked at us and walked towards us.

"What are you guys doing with so much concentration?", dad asked approaching us.

"Daddy", Ahana climbed on dad.

"Yes....my baby. I missed you so much", dad said kissing her forehead.

I rolled my eyes and sighed.

"You guys continue...I need to finish my homework", I said getting up and walking towards the stairs.

"Siya wait", dad said from behind.

I turned back.

"I have a surprise for you all", dad announced.

"Yeahhhh....surprise", Ahana started dancing.

Dad chuckled.

Dad kept an envelope on the table.

"What's this babe?", Nidhi asked.

Naira came from the kitchen.

"Ticket to Maldives", dad announced.

Everyone else's face lit up except mine and Aatish's.

"Why?! I'm going to boarding school....so is this a celebration that I'll be out of the house?", I taunted.

Dad looked at me surprised.

"I'm sorry but I'm not -", dad interrupted me in between.

"Oh come on Siya!...why do you always take everything negatively?....I thought we should have a family vacation before you leave the house....that's Why I planned for this", dad explained me calmly.

I rolled my eyes.

"I'm not interested....I'm not going", I declared.

"Neither me", Aatish continued.

Everyone became silent. Dad was getting impatient, it was clearly visible.

I and Aatish went upstairs to my bedroom.

NAIRA'S POV

Aatish and Siya walked away.

Kartik sighed and walked towards his bedroom. Nidhi followed him.

Ahana tugged on my skirt. I looked down at her.

"Aren't we going to Maltives?", Ahana mispronounced.

I chuckled and bent in front of her.

"We are sweetheart...now go and eat your dinner with Sahil bhaiya....Sahil...take her", I instructed Sahil and he walked away with Ahana.

I need to explain these kids!

I climbed the stairs and went to Siya's bedroom. Siya and Aatish were playing carrom.

I knocked on the door.

"Can I come in?", I asked.

"Yes", Siya and Aatish replied.

I walked in and sat beside them.

"If you're here to take dad's side then we are sorry, we aren't going to listen", Siya said aiming for the queen.
