Chapter 14 :Won't Lose You This Time

(Y/n)'s pov,

It was dark and I was alone here.
I looked around. There was no one.
I shivered a bit, remembering the times while I was under the sea.

It was like this.
Just then, a voice said.
"Hello, my dear"
I turned around in a swift to see Pitch standing there, smiling at me.

"Dad..." I called although I knew he is not my real father as I stood on guard.
He chuckled.
"No need to stand on guard, my dear, aren't you glad to see your own father who
raised you well?" he said.

"Ha. I appreciate that you raised me until I learn that my whole life was being a lie
and that you made me almost turn my
back against my own birth father," I said as we walked in circle, ready to attack anytime.

He chuckled again.
"So, now, you turned your back on me? How ungrateful, you know what will happen from now
on, don't you?" he said.
"I'll be prepared whatever you have up your sleeves, then," I said and we stopped walking.

Pitch smirked.
"Oh really? Even against this," he said and a spotlight appeared shining on someone.
I raised a brow and looked at Pitch before going closer to the person who's under the light.

My eyes widened and I gasped in horror to see Jack lying there in a pool of blood. Without thinking twice, I ran over to him and picked him up.
"Jack? Jack please no...no, no. Please!" I said as tears started to appear in my eyes.

"(Y/n)..."Jack said as he stopped breathing.
"No! Jack, please! Jack, no!" I yelled as I geld him close to him.
No, this can't be, please...

Then, I heard Pitch chuckled darkly.
"This is just the beginning," he said and disappeared.
Jack's body started to vanish from my arms.
"No, No! Please no!"

"(Y/N)!"

Suddenly, I opened my eyes to see all the Guardians surrounding me. I saw Jack looking at me worriedly as I was in bed.
It was...a nightmare?
Without thinking, I quickly sat up and hugged Jack tightly.

"Whoa,(Y/n),"Jack said, surprised by my sudden hug.
Then, he seemed to notice me shaking a bit and held me back, tighter.
"Shh..it's alright now. I am here for you," Jack said as he soothed me, patting down my hair as he held me tight.

I breathed as I tried to calm down.
It was a nightmare. I felt disappointed at myself for noticing it earlier. I could've beat it.
But, then, Pitch knew.

He knew my fear.
The Guardians nodded at me, quietly telling me that they will be at outside to give us some space.

"Bae, what's wrong?" Jack asked as he played with my hair.
I nuzzled my head in his neck.
"I can't lose you," I whispered barely to myself.

Jack was quiet for a bit before he spoke.
"It was him, wasn't it?" Jack asked.
I nodded slowly, knowing that Jack already know I had a nightmare.

He slowly pulled away and looked at me in the eyes.
"Don't worry about it. I won't let him hurt you or take you away from me again, I promise," he said as he kissed my forehead, smiling down at me.

I smiled back at him.
I won't let him take you away from me too, Jack.
"Thanks," I said as I gave him a hug again.
He smiled and held me back, nuzzling in my neck.

As we held each other, I thought.
I will not lose him the second time and that's a promise!

I smiled as we let go.
"So...today's training is..."I said and he chuckled.
"With me and North," Jack said and I smiled. I have to get stronger.
