Part 4: The Legends

Ruby was tempted just to appear at the wolves house, though she knew if any humans were around they would be suspicious. Humans suck.

She pulled up to the house, only for all the wolves to run out. "Ruby!" Paul yelled as he grabbed her and span her around. She let out a laugh as her hair flew in her face. "Ever graceful, Paul."

Paul nudged Jared. "She remembers my name." "Yes, how hard it must be for me to remember something like a name," she said sarcastically.

Emily went over to the girl, causing her to smile slightly. Emily was okay, she preferred Leah, mainly because she found herself strangely connected to the girl. She truly believed she was similar to Leah.

Leah was the only female wolf in her family, while Ruby was the only one not a vampire.

Leah was left by the one she loved, while Ruby left the one who loved her.

The rest of the wolves hugged her, knocking the Hybrid out of her thoughts. There was only two wolves who didn't hug her, one being Embry, who couldn't help but smile. The other wolf was Leah, who didn't know the girl was there.

"So, did you miss me?" Paul asked the girl, before chuckling. "Of course you did, I am the most amazing wolf." Jared scoffed at his words. "As if. She missed me." "No, she missed me!" Quill said, eager to join in.

The three wolves bickered, while Jacob rolled his eyes. "I know you missed me most of all." She couldn't help but grin at him. "You could say that." She wouldn't tell him the truth, that for some reason it was Embry, a boy she had never spoke to she missed the most.

During the middle of the bickering, Leah arrived at the house, smiling at the sight of Ruby. "Hi," Ruby greeted the wolf. Leah said nothing to the other wolves, she just grabbed Ruby's hand and pulled her into the forest.

Sam couldn't help but smile as he realised Leah finally had a friend who was helping her. She was starting to become happy again. He wrapped his arm around Emily, kissing her head.

It was that moment, the Alpha turned to Embry, wondering how the boy's wolf was coping with the situation. Strangely the boy didn't look upset, if anything he looked happy. Embry noticed his Alpha staring at him and grinned. "I'm glad she's helping Leah, hopefully she opens up. A friendship with Leah means she'll be around more."

"How come the hot one is your imprint?" Paul whined. "It isn't fair!"

While the wolves were talking, Ruby and Leah found themselves sitting in a tree, two bottles of Russian vodka that Ruby had 'burrowed' from a Russian bar.

"It feels good to let loose for once," Leah admitted, as she took a sip on the vodka. She may have been a wolf, though the drink was 98% alcohol, one that even effected Vampires. "Well girl, you got a new best friend with me," Ruby told the wolf.

Leah smiled knowing she was going to see the Hybrid a lot more. She was glad it was Embry who imprinted on her, he was the only decent option, considering Seth was too young for her.

The two stayed in the tree, drinking and laughing. "Okay, okay," Ruby started. "If you had to date a wolf, who would it be and why?" Leah started to think about it. She wouldn't pick Sam, not since he's betrayal. Quil was too annoying, Embry was Ruby's imprinter.
