The raven-haired woman finally made it out of bed, feeling the silk sheets roll off her as she forced herself to shower and get ready for another day of muggle school.

Seeing the rainy weather once more, she made sure to pick a light colored rain coat to keep her dry. From the feel of it, she knew it had to be designer or something expensive. Gwen knew how much her clothes attracted attention in this town that seemed to function more on workers rather than wealth. But, it was the only clothing she was provided by MACUSA, so she would have to deal with the stares.

After all, the Cullens were now her priority. Not fitting in at muggle school.

Walking down the stairs, she looked out the window to see the rain now pouring even harder. It bounced off of the window with such a spectacular movement that it reminded her of those rainy seasons at Hogwarts. Where they would all keep themselves dry by water-repellent charms and keep warm by charming blue fire into jars.

She knew it would attract too much attention if she placed the charm on herself. Though, it would be quite amusing to see the rest of the muggles trying to figure out why hers was the only hair perfectly in place.

As she turned into the kitchen, she noticed a pink bag with a note sitting on the counter. Taking the note into her hands, she read:

Looking at the Seattle public archives today. Will be back in time for dinner. Please don't skip school again, the muggles will try to put me in jail if you miss a lot of school days.

Your lunch is on the table.

-Cal

Gwen felt the ends of her mouth curving upwards as she slowly put Cal's note down and found a stylish pink lunch pale. The raven-haired woman couldn't help but feel touched, as she opened the pouch to see he had cooked her lunch. Her comments about how horrible the muggle school food was must have been the catalyst.

Smiling as she got into her car, Gwen couldn't help but feel in a really good mood. It seemed as though nothing could ruin her mood today. Not one thing.

Driving into the parking lot of Forks High School, Gwen's eyes lingered on the posters that lined the school. They advertised for things such as 'Prom' and 'Yearbook Sale'.

Slightly smiling to herself, she took a moment to watch as Jessica and Angela passed by the signs excitedly pointing to them. Even though there was a monumental difference between Forks and Hogwarts, they still had similar customs. But, these students would be finishing school and going off into the world, with nothing but freedom and happiness to engulf them. They didn't have to fight a war. They were safe. They had peace. And hopefully, the new students enrolled at Hogwarts would have the same.

Getting out of her car, she put her sunglasses on her face as she noticed a cold stare piercing through her from her right side. She knew it could only belong to one person. Well, one vampire.

She slightly raised one of her perfectly arched eyebrows as she closed the door to her car, did he already have an answer for her?

As she walked forward, she was grateful to her sunglasses. Because she was able to eye the lot suspiciously, as to see if any of his siblings were around. Not finding them anywhere near the parking lot, Gwen continued to walk at her same pace to the front of the school, where Edward was waiting for her with the passenger door to his car opened.

"If you're going to ask me to prom, you should just get it over with" Gwen teased, as she stopped right in front of him.

"Why would I ask you to Prom if everything you've done since you got here has been to annoy me?"
