"FOR HEAVEN'S GOODNESS GRACIOUS SAKE HANNI PHAM WHY ARE YOU AND YONGJAE HERE OF ALL PLACES!?" Were the repeated words that's floated around in Minji's mind the moment, of the finest margins of small chances, that her friends/colleagues, Hanni and Yongjae, both were at the same jewellery store that they're in.
And to make it worse than it probably was, this was the only time that Minji's cussing at Hanni's observant personality the moment she heard Hanni called out Jeongin's name, their own boss despite Jeongin's wearing a facemask and sunglasses. Minji had to turned her whole body away from their view and she could only hope that Jeongin's going to help hiding her from her friend's view because if Hanni could somehow recognize Jeongin even with those mask and glasses, recognizing Minji would be a whole lot more easier for Hanni...
So she's back facing them as she's been praying that whatever happens after this, she would not get recognized because that would be awkward if Hanni and Yongjae found out that their colleague's dating their own boss out of everyone... And that's basically what Minji's been fearing to happen to her and her friends for quite some time now.
"Mr. Hwang, is that you, sir?" And the way Minji's heartbeat was just sky-rocketing the moment Hanni somehow managed to recognized Jeongin and Minji's been praying that Jeongin somehow could handle it. "Oh... Why isn't it our two interns? Interesting that we'd bump into each other here of all places..." And the moment Hanni's guess was right, both her and Yongjae immediately bowed their heads down respectfully.
"Alright... alright... we don't have to be all boss-intern mode right now okay? We're not at work and I'm sure we're all probably in the same age range also..." Jeongin held his hands up as it did make him feel a bit awkward knowing that Minji, Hanni and Yongjae were all within the same age range as him after reading their files during their early days as interns.
"So you two are together? Out on a date perhaps?" Jeongin seeing that Hanni's holding hands comfortably with Yongjae and that caught the two of guard, with the two looking at each other and felt like there's no running away now. "Yes... Yes we're both on a date right now..." Hanni confessed their relationship bravely as her grip on Yongjae's hand tightened slowly and her boyfriend knew how nervous she was just as much as he was at that moment.
"But you don't have to worry about it sir... during working hours, both of us are and will always remain professionals and we always try our best to keep our private lives aside..." Yongjae immediately giving their clarities to their boss. "Hey... It's your lives..." Jeongin held his hand up. "...outside of the company, that's not really my place to get involve in but I'm glad that you two are honest with me. So thank you and I appreciate your efforts in staying professionals"
"So what brings you here sir? It's kind of amazing that out of the vastness of this city, we met here..." Hanni's continuing the conversation wasn't helping Minji one bit as well as Jeongin. "Well... I... umm... I'm looking for a gift... for umm... my fiancée." Jeongin's been racking his brain and the final lie that he gave out was making Minji behind her couldn't control her emotions and he heard a light gasp escaped from behind his ears.
