"Go to sleep Amelia," Xavier said, placing his head back on the pillow

"I don't want to sleep," she mumbled, folding her hands underneath her breast, but Xavier didn't pay any attention to her.

"Are you sleeping, already?" She asked, but there was no response for a while and she concluded he was asleep, but he substantiated her wrong and spoke after some time

"No" he groaned. "I can't sleep yet"

"Yet, Why?"

"You sound so anticipated, seems you don't want me to sleep," he said, catching Amelia off guard. She knew well enough that a smirk was planted on his face because that was what he did whenever he caught her off guard.

"Of course not," she said with widened eyes. "To think I was doing you a favor by having a conversation with you"

"If I remember vividly, you were the one who asked for a conversation"

"And you could have just refused bluntly if at all you didn't want to have a conversation with me"

"I fucked up," he said and Amelia sighed. He was ready to sleep and that meant, no more conversation for her. It was time for her to face the music. There was indeed no sleep for her that night.

"You aren't sleeping on the couch"

"I'm already on the couch" she shrugged.

"You had a nightmare right?"

"Yes I did"

"Don't you feel scared, sleeping alone on the couch? You know how big this room is" he said, taking Amelia by surprise at the fact, he cared about her nightmare and that was the reason he wanted her to sleep with him.

It was both adorable and caring. It made her wonder what suddenly came over Xavier to care that much about her feelings.

"Fine," she said after short thinking. Truth be told, she wanted to sleep on the same bed as Xavier. She loved the thrills she always got whenever he got so close to her. It wasn't clear if the feeling was mutual but one thing was certain, she loved the feeling she got from him.

Amelia walked over to the bed and laid at the end, completely out of the way. The bed was huge, but it became too small for both of them. Although the bed was quite big and they shared a reasonable distance in the bed, she couldn't help but feel the anxiety course through her.

"Good" she heard from her side and she couldn't help but roll her eyes at the way he just bossed her into sleeping in the same bed with him.

He was always good at it which made Amelia wonder how he was always so good at it. Even sometimes when she tried to convince herself that she would never succumb to his will, she still found herself doing the exact opposite of what she originally intended on doing.

"I did this at my will and not yours, get that?" She said, turning away from him and she heard him chuckle at her statement.

The whole anxiety calmed down and they both fell asleep, and for the first time in a long time, she fell asleep without repeating the same dream.

This was the same thing that happened when she slept on the same bed with Xavier when they were both at the family. It was strange how he had the power to do that.

The morning came too soon. She flicked her open as the sun kept peeking through the tiny crack that was visible at the curtain. She yawned tiredly and was about to get up, but she was immediately restrained.

Slightly alarmed she looked around and she finally realized it wasn't her room she slept last night. She looked to her side and she almost froze. Xavier was so close to her.
