"For god's sake, Sid, will you just stop drifting off to sleep?" My hitler wife screamed in my ears for the nth time this night.

Defeatedly, I looked at her, barely keeping my eyes open, trying to convey that I really needed my eight hours of sleep unlike her.

"Mrs. Rajput, it's fucking three in the midnight and every sane person out there sleeps at this hour rather than worrying about the future." I groaned in frustration while adjusting my pillow and again tried to close my eyes.

Mira let out a scoff, her disbelief clear in the twist of her mouth. "So, you're calling me insane, huh?" Gritting my teeth, I slowly pushed myself up onto the bed, folding my legs beneath me. I stole a glance at my wife, meeting her intense glare.

"Mira," I began with my tired voice, "Just how often do you get your periods in a month?"

Her expression shifted from annoyance to bewilderment as she glanced at me from head to toe. "Why would you even ask me that?" she retorted.

"Because I want to know that from where the fucking world you always end up having these many mood swings!" I mocked her while fisting my own hair in frustration.

Mira shot me a sharp glare, her arms folding tightly across her chest which was clearly a warning to 'shut your mouth before I kicked you out of the room'.

Sighing deeply, I reached out my hand to her. Without a word, Mira accepted it and sat down beside me on the bed.

"We've got fifteen more hours before we find out what Arhaan's up to, Mira. We just need to hang tight until then," I soothed Mira, observing the concern on her face.

Ever since Arhaan dropped the bomb about his secret plan and asked to give him twenty-four hours, Mira's been a wreck and is getting consumed by worry over what that idiot might do.

Even I can't shake off this feeling of unease about Arhaan. That idiot literally has the mindset of a serial killer and his demeanor this afternoon only heightened my concern. I pray he doesn't act impulsively.

Glancing at Mira, lost in her thoughts, I reached out, cupping her face in my hands and gently stroking her cheeks to bring her back to the present.

"Tell me, what is it?" I urged her to open up whatever was going on in her head.

She looked down at where our hands were intertwined and then back up to me.

"It's just that... we've barely scratched the surface in exposing Vikram Mehra's crimes to the world, and in the next three days, he'll regain his position as CEO, which would leave us with nothing but feeling helpless," Mira confided, her voice tight and low. "We don't even know why he's so fixated on gaining control over our family business... I'm worried about what might happen if we fail."
