The Promise

***Beth***

I didn't want to go to the living room , so I decided to go my room and stay there but Alex came into the kitchen before I had my chance to go to my room  .
"Hey Beth ".
"Heyy". I said in a shy way .
"Your parents were here this morning ".
"I know , I saw them before they left ".

"Okay ". He said and just looked at me .
"What ?". I asked .
"Nothing ". He said .
But he still kept in watching me .
"Alex stop watching me ". I said going into the living room . 
"Fine . Just remember what you told me yesterday ".

I really wish he was drunk when I told him that so he wouldn't remember what I told him .
"Fine . Lets just do it ".
"Okay ". He said and handed me his  controller .  
"You want to start with your PlayStation first ".

"Yeah ".
"Alright , just remember your the one who wanted to play Mario Cart when I win ". I said.
"We are not playing Mario Cart ".
"Then what are we going to play ?".
"You"ll see ".

We then finished playing his PlayStation and  he won the majority of times we played .
Then he wanted to do something that I didn't want to do .
"No Alex ".
"Please ".
"No ". I said and wanted to go upstairs but Alex caught me from behind intertwined our fingers with each other .

"Alex , I don't want to do this ".
"You said I can do whatever I want today ".
"Yeah , but not this ".
"Please . I promise I won't do anything ".
"Ughhh ". I said in frustration .
We walked together and made lunch .
While we were making lunch , I realized what we were making .
"Alex ". I said shouting making the ingredient in our hand spill .

"Beth , what was that for ?" .
"Why are we cooking this food ?"  .
"You are now figuring this out ".
"Alex " . I said getting angry and I wanted to get out of Alex.
"Beth , please don't leave ".
"Alex ".
"Please " .

"Ugh, I really don't want to do this ".
"Just please ".
"Fine ".
We made lunch and it was our favorite meal when we together .
When we were done , Alex let go of my hands and spun me around so that I was facing him .

Alex didn't want to let go of me .
I said "Alex let go of me ".
He realized what he was doing and let go of me .
We got our plates and went into the living room .
We sat down and ate our food . When we were done , we washed our plates and then I looked at Alex.

He looked at me said " What ? ".
"What's next ?". I asked him .
"Ohh , I was thinking we could go out somewhere ".
"Okay . Do I get to choose ?". I asked .
"Sure ".
"Shopping ".
"No ".
"Yes ".

"Please Beth , anything expect for that ".
"Nope . Lets go ". I said grabbing my things. 
"Ugh , why did I even ask you that question ". He said following me .
I just laughed.

***Hours Later ****

We came back when it was night time . 
Alex dropped all the bags we had once we reached my room. 
"Thanks Alex ".
He didn't reply back to me . His phone was ringing and he picked it up. 
"Hello ". He said. 
The person must have said something loudly at him because he pulled the phone away from his ear .

He put his phone on speaker and said "You can blame it on Beth". He said coming to where I was .
I realized it was his mother. 
"Stop pretending like if it was her fault ".
"I am not pretending . It was really Beth 's fault . She made me go shopping with her and she also made me pay for it all".

"Just say it was you who spent your whole money on clothes ".
Alex wanted to say something but his mother said "I will put back the money but don't spend it  like that  ".
"Okay " . He said and hung up the phone  

"Just so you know , if I had to work back that money , you will be doing it ". He said going back to the bed .
I wanted to laugh but I couldn't . I just went inside the bathroom and took a bath. 
I came back out and Alex wasn't there .

I went downstairs into the living room and said .
"Alex , I am done ".
"Okay " . He said and got up and went upstairs .
I sat down and turned on the tv .
Alex interrupted me by saying "Uhh Beth ". He said coming in front of me with no shirt on .
"Yeah ". I said trying my best not to stutter .

I didn't hear what he said because I couldn't stop watching his abs  .
"Beth ".
"Yeah ".
"You know you could  have this if you want ". He said .
"Whatever " . I said but in truth , I really do .
