The Promise

He Saw

**The Next Day**

When I woke up , the sun was shinning in my eyes .
I tried to cover the sun with my hands but that didn't help .
I got up and closed my curtains and climbed back into my bed .
"Your mother said to get up ," Alex said .
"But I don't want to ," I whined .
"But you have to if you want to make your date today ," Alex said .

That got my attention and I sat up in my bed. 
"How did you know that ?" I asked .
"Your phone was buzzing ," He said .
"And you checked my phone ," I said .
"Yeah ," He said .
I was too tired to argue with him so I didn't .

I didn't know what to say .
He said ," You don't have to explain yourself to me . I have a girlfriend ".
I still didn't know what to say . I just nodded . He stood up and left my room .
For once I feel at peace .
I got out of bed and laid out my outfit for the day and went inside my bathroom and took a shower and brushed my teeth .

When I was done I put on my clothes . I was putting on my shoes when my phone buzzed .
It was a message from Jake .
J- That is if you're up. 
B- I wasn't before but now I am .
J-Ok .

I finished putting on my shoes and went downstairs. 
"Morning sweetie ," My mother said .
"Morning mom ," I said .
When I sat down , Anna was sitting next to me .
"Hi Anna ," I said .
"Hey ," She said .

Alex came out of his room and asked Anna , " Are you ready ? ".
"Yeah ," Anna said and got up .
"Bye Beth ," She said and then Alex intertwined  his hand with her's and left. 
"What's for breakfast ?" I asked my mother .
"Waffles ," She said .
"Yum," I said and then I ate them .

**2 hours later **

It has been two hours  later  since my parents and Alex 's mother left and me who finished my breakfast .
I was watching tv when I fell asleep .
When I woke up , I saw a figure .
I screamed but then Jake covered my mouth .
"What was that for ?" He asked taking his hand off of my mouth but slowly to make sure I won't do it again .

"Sorry , I didn't know it was you ,"I said .
"How long was I asleep ?" I asked .
"For about 2 hours ," He said .
"I am so sorry ," I said .
"Its okay ," He said as he sat on the coffee table and I sat up while still laying on the couch .

"Its not.  I messed up your plans ," I said .
"No you didn't . I am here , we could do something else ," He said .
"Okay , like what ?" I asked .
"We could watch tv or some Netflix  shows and movies ," I said.
"Okay ," I said. 
I got up and said ," I'll go make popcorn ".
"I like your outfit ," He said .
"Thanks ," I said and I went to the kitchen.

I came back into the living room with the bowl of popcorn in my hand .
Jake was sitting on the couch flipping through the channels .
"That's not how you watch tv ," I said as I set the bowl of popcorn on the coffee table .
"There is nothing  interesting to watch ," He said .
"Want to start with Netflix first ?" I asked .

"Okay ," I said .
We eventually found a movie to watch .
When we did Jake grabbed the popcorn and then we started to watch the movie. 
When the movie was done , somewhere along the movie , we got comfy and cuddled together while laying on the couch .

"That movie was good ," I said .
"It was ," He said as he looked at me .
I looked back at him we just stared at each other for awhile.
Soon , Jake came closer to me and kissed me .
I kissed him back and we did this for awhile until a door being slammed brought us back to reality .

"What was that ?" He asked .
"Someone 's home ," I said as I stood up and went to Alex 's door first to see if he is home. 
I opened the door and saw him taking off his shoes .
"Hey ," I said .
"Hi," He said in an angry tone  as he kicked off his other shoe in an angry manner .

"Your back ," I said in awkward way .
"Yep," He said .
"I am sorry ," I said ,"If you saw that " .
"I don't care . I have a girlfriend ," He said .
I closed his door and went back to Jake .
"He saw didn't he ?" Jake asked .
"Yep ," I said as I sat down .
"And he's mad isn't he ?" Jake asked.
"Yep ," I said .
"Great," Jake said but in a awkward way .
