The Promise

Can I Go ?

***Beth***

Someone shuck me and said ," Beth".
"Yes ," I said as I came out of my daze .
"We are here ," Alex said and came out the car and slammed the door .
I got out and saw that we were at the dock of the boat .
We went up the ramp and into the boat .
Once we got on , we headed to our rooms.
When we got there , the room was beautifully decorated .

Alex and I had to stay in on room together while my parents got their own room as well as Alex's mother .

Once they brought our bags , we all went to our rooms and unpacked them .
I put my suitcase on the bed and took out one of my outfits when my phone rang .
I picked up my phone and saw it was a three way call which had Cathy , Ally ,  Jake in it .

"Hi ," I said . They all screamed when I spoke.
They had so much questions to ask that I couldn't hear them .
Alex just rolled his eyes when I put them on speaker .
"Are you guys done ?" I asked.
"Yes ," Ally said .
"How are you ?" Cathy asked .
"I'm good ," I said.

"I miss you already ," Ally said .
"Me too ," I said. Alex just continued to roll his eyes .
"There is no need to keep doing that ," I said to Alex .
"What ?" They all said .
"I was talking to Alex ," I said.
"There is a perfect reason why ," He said as he continued unpack his bags .

As I unpacked my bags , I filled them in on everything .
Jake didn't like the idea of Alex and I staying in one room together .
It's not that he doesn't trust me , he doesn't trust Alex .
When Alex heard that , he laughed and continued  with what he was doing .
When I was done , it was nighttime and I was exhausted so I told them that I was going to shower , eat and then go to sleep .

I took a shower and wore something to go downstairs into the restaurant to eat .
When we got to the restaurant , we ordered our food .
"How is the cruise going ?" My mother asked as we waited for our food .
I didn't say anything because it has been going bad and we haven't even made it through one night here .   

Our mothers saw our faces and then looked at each other and said ," It will be fun ".
"It won't ," I said in my head .
My father then talked about going to handle some business in Barcelona was which was our first stop on the cruise which would make him to not be here for the rest of the trip .

Our food soon came and then we ate . When we were done , we all said goodnight to each other and went back to our rooms .
When Alex and I got there , I wanted to change and he had to take shower .
"I'll go change in here ," I said as I closed the bathroom door because of the awkwardness  and I didn't feel like to argue with him tonight .

I changed into something more comfy to sleep in .
When Alex was done , he came out of the bathroom with his brown hair dripping of water on the floor .
He got into bed and took out his phone and used it .
It was really awkward because I haven't slept in the same room with Alex in awhile .

"Night ," He said as he turned off his lap by his bedside table and got more comfy in bed and slept off .
"Good night ," I said.
" I can't go to sleep ," I said to Alex .
"And your telling me this why ?" He said .
"Alex ," I said .
"What ?" He said in a sleepy way .
"Please don't sleep ," I said .

"Why ?" He said .
"Because.." I said trailing off of my sentence .
"Beth , go to sleep ," He said .
"I can't ," I said .
He didn't say anything else because he fell asleep .
No matter how many times I called him or shaked him to wake up , he wouldn't .

I went back into bed and saw my phone was ringing . It was Jake Facetiming me .
I answered it and saw he was in bed too .
"I hope I didn't wake you up ," He said .
"You didn't.  I can't fall sleep ," I said. 
"Why ?" He asked .
"I don't know ," I said .
"You feel homesick , " He said .
"Probably ," I said.

We then talked about random things for hours .
We soon fell asleep while the call was still going on .

**The Next Day **

I woke up to the sun shining and noise .
"You're finally awake ," Alex said. 
"And good morning to you too ," I said .
"Get dressed , we have to go downstairs and eat breakfast ," Alex said .
"Then get out ," I said.
"Got nowhere else to go , " He said .
"Go enjoy the ocean view ," I said.

"Fine , but hurry because I'm hungry ," He said.
I got out bed and took a shower and put this outfit on  .
*A/N - please , ignore the other girl in the white top and red short pants for now . *

Alex and I went downstairs together and met our family at the restaurant .
We got our breakfast and ate it . When we done , my mother asked ," Are you going to explore the country sweetie ".
"Yeah ," I said very excitedly .
"And what about you Alex ," My mother asked him .
"I'm staying on the boat ," He said.
"If you're staying , then sweetie you can't  go ," My mother said.

"What , why ?" I said.
"You're not going on your own in a foreign country ,"My mother said. 
"But mom ," I said. 
"Its either he goes with you or you don't go at all ," My mother said.
