Chapter 24

Val's POV

It was so quiet now.

I was so sad right now. I never got a chance to prove myself as the Peacekeeper off all music.

But just then, i hear my heart beating.

I look down to see my heart glowing. But it had a rainbow glow to it.

I look down to see a microphone on the ground.

I pick up the microphone and put it to my heart.

My heart beat made a rhythm of beats.

After a while, Prince D and Cooper start beat boxing to the rhythm of my heart beat.

"Those are my sons and the peacekeeper. Making music." Queen Essence says with a smile.

After that, I hear Delta clapping to the rhythm.

Soon, every Troll started making a beat with the rhythm.

While making the beat, the Trolls' hearts glowed by the color of their music string.

"Queen Barb can't take away something that is inside us. Because that's where music really comes from." Queen Essence says to everyone.

"It started with the strings, but now it comes from us." King Quincy adds.

"Yeah, it comes from our experiences." King Trollex says.

"Our lives." Delta says afterwards.

"Our culture." Queen Essence says.

We were listening to the beat of the music.

"Listen to that. Barb can't take that away." Poppy says.

I look around at all the Trolls in the arena with a smile on my face.

My eyes then make eye contact with Queen Essence.

Queen Essence nods at me, and I knew what she talking about.

I look down at my heart and then back at everyone.

I close my eyes and take a deep breath before doing what I wasn't expecting.

Val: Let me... hear you... sing.

The sun started to shine down on us.

Val: Sing it together. Louder than ever. Forget everything.

Poppy and Branch stand next to me.

Val, Poppy, Branch: Just sing. Like it's what we've been missing. And they're gonna listen, listen. Forget everything. Just sing.

Poppy and Branch got their colors back.

"Dad?" Barb asks as she look at King Thrash.

"It's okay, Barbara. Just let everyone be what they want to be. Including you." King Thrash says.

Music started to play.

I walk over and stand next to Cooper and his family.

Val: You think you've gotta hide it. Don't keep it on the shelf. Let your waist start moving. Watch the way I do it, do it. See me do it like nobody else.

Cooper and family got their color back.

Queen Essence: If we sing it all together.

Prince D, Branch: If we sing it all as one.

Queen Essence: It's louder than yourself.

Prince D, Branch: All together, everyone.
