Chapter Thirty One

"Well care to share you not being dead?" She asks

"Um Eva this is not a good time really" I said

"Ah! Let me guess this hunted by people wanting to kill you had to fake death so you can protect us did I narrow it down for you" she said with each part sarcasm in her tone.

I sigh "Yeah pretty much it"

"You did the right thing D dont blame yourself" said Sarah

"And bitch who the hell are you to tell her that?" Came an angry Eva

"Call me that one more time and you will see a bullet in you skull" says Sarah

Eva laughs and looks at us like we lost our heads.

"This unbelievable my friend is fucking alive and didn't want to tell the best friend. I would have understood why you doing it? And why you wouldn't tell Aaron but me you had to keep me in the category with my idiotic of a brother" she says

"Eva that's not good for the baby please calm down" I said

"Don't you even dare? Unbelievable really, what else am I being in the dark for?" She raises her eyebrows

"Bella sweetie can you go inside the big people are talking" said Lily

"Okay bye" she runs off inside

"Start talking bitch" said Eva

Liam steps infront but I take his hand and shake my head. He understood and calms down I sigh and look at my best friend.

"Your mother is trying to kill me" I said

Eva laughs so badly everyone was looking at her.

"Wait you were serious. She doesn't have the brains to handle me let alone kill you" she says

"Is she that dumb?" Asks Samuel

"Yes" me, Eva and Aaron said at the same time

"Okay noted" said Samuel

"If not her then who is? Cause the sooner we know the sooner we can get Dianne home to her family" said Sarah

"I don't think we met am Eva and you guys are" she looks around.

"Sarah, Liam, Lily and Lucas while I am Samuel" he says

"And how do you know my girl?" She asks

"Oh! We um........

"Mr.Alonso adopted her so me Sarah and Lucas are familiar with her so much. Lily and Lucas are our friends and boyfriends and girlfriend" said Samuel

"Well is she safe?" She asks

"Yes she is" came in Lucas

"How are you sure?" She asks

"I would give my all to protect what's mine" he says with intense voice.

I stare at Lucas as he stares back. I couldn't notice he had a sincere words and I know that I am safe with him. But he made me feel so sure that I will be safe with him.

Gosh I was like a little girl jumping inside saying I am him.

"Dianne" someone shouts my name which makes me jump out of my thoughts.

Looking around I see smiles and wicked evil grins on Eva and Samuel and an angry Aaron. My heart jump out at how he looked at me with anger. He leaves angrily and leaves us still in the gardens

"I will help you and find out things" says Eva

Eva turns to me and hugs me tight.

She whispers to my ear "Find your happiness Sierra I will support you know matter what? And for little Bella she is safe with me."

She lets me go and leaves the place. I burst out in tears, warm hand wraps around me as I see Lucas holding me tight.

I struggle to not want to melt down.

"It's okay to cry Dianne sometimes being too strong can lead to more inhuman" he whispers down

I hold him tight as I cry my heart out for everything that has happened to me. I have been holding on much and it was good letting go all the stuffs that I have struggle within myself.

After crying I see me and Lucas are alone just not saying anything with each other.

"Mom  killed herself when I was kid" he chuckles

"I had a little sister called Eve also like your best friend. She was um.....raped by my stepfather. My father was out of the picture cause he abandoned us when I was six he has two kids now, I asked him one day why did you run and the weird thing he said it's because your mom told me so" he laughs

I remain quiet not knowing what to say.

"He told me that one day my mother was checking his phone records and text. When she saw some text of having unfair she chased him away without explaining to him. But the truth is he never did have unfair" he says

"And you believe your father?" I asked

"My father can be alot of things but one thing about my father taught me is never lie to the people you care about" he said

"He simply didn't tell her cause she knew how she would freak out without even batting an eye. My father was workaholic so I know my mother was pretty lonely she just wanted so excuse to chase dad. Cause few months later that is when George came to the picture stepfather" he said with distaste

"The one day I go out to my neighbors friend cause they invited us but mom didn't want to so she was taking care of my little sister she was 7. We heard my sister screaming so I ran. I reach inside seeing my sister covered in blood screaming my mother was no where to be found and my little sister was being raped infront of my eyes. I ran to the kitchen take the bottle and rush up stairs I beat George in the head with it. My little sister was crying asking for my help, I carried her and we head outside. We never got outside cause that's when I heard gunshot. My mother came in rushing to protect us hiding us from him" he says

All the time I was staring at him looking for signs to see pain. But he hides them well

"I was being strong for my family cause dad told me always to protect my family. My mom begged George to stop his behavior but he didn't he heard sirens of police coming and ambulances. But George run away leaving my mother crying holding her daughter."

"I remember she looked at me and told me to find my father again she took the gun and shot herself killing her and my little sister all at once" he says

I didn't want him to see my tears so I turn around and wipe them and look in front

"My stepfather never got married to my mom. They were boyfriend and girlfriend besides he said he had another family to take care though I never knew who and where till today?" He says

I hold his hand and look at him.

"Have you ever let you guard down just once?" I asked him

"Sometimes you just have to have that special person to take all the burdens away for you to heal" I said

"Have you found that person?" I asked again

He looks at me then hugs me tight. He stays like that he closes his eyes.

We stayed close looking at the stars and just admiring the view and nature. I am drifting off to sleep cause my eyes are closing up.

My head lays down to his laps as I sleep comfortably. Before drifting to sleep I hear his words

"I have and it's you" putting a smile on my face as I sleep tightly snuggling closer to him, feeling safe holding me.
