I.

If You Draw Near To God

When I'm down, and no one seems to care,
I call to God, and He is there;
Even when people are not around,
He keeps my feet on the ground.

There are times when I want to cry;
But the tears fail to spill from my eyes;
They blur my vision; I still see the light;
For the Lord Almighty God is my guide.

During my moments of distress,
He brings to my heart happiness
When He sends an angel to comfort me;
He gives me all the things I need.

There are times when I fall into sin;
But His love for me is clear every moment.
Showing me the narrow path to light,
That I may be saved on the return of Christ.

The entire world can be my enemy,
And I will fight courageously;
For my faith; there is no need to fear
If to the Lord you always draw near.
