That I May Prosper In This Race

And now that I have learned of the truth

Of the Lord God's pristine Word,

I shall remain true

To Him and strive to endure.

My hardships and trials will not

Deter me from serving Him;

In spite of these obstacles, I cannot stop

Singing praises unto Him.

The One Who gives me strength

In times of distress

Is the greatest friend;

The One Who can lead one to true happiness.

The greatest source of joy

Is friendship with Him;

Wickedness I must avoid

To do what pleases Him.

And although I am far from perfect,

He gives me the courage to face

My battles, that I may not quit;

That I may prosper in this race.
