Do Not Be Swayed
Meditating day and night
On the pristine Word
Of God has helped you realize
The wickedness of this world.
Everywhere you go, there are temptations,
Threatening to hinder your path
To the gift of salvation,
Earthly pleasures that will not last.
Though you must stay firm;
Always remember His Word
And do your best to endure,
That you may not be swayed by this world.
Everything good you have done
Will never be in vain; for one day,
Your dejection and worries will be gone;
When you, at last, reach the Holy Place.
