If You Seek Your Joy In God
Disasters take place everywhere we go;
People are losing hope;
Indeed, times like these are precarious;
You never know who you can trust.
Though if you seek your joy
In the Almighty Lord,
And every type of evil you avoid,
You will find peace in this chaotic world.
You can do the impossible, too
If He is there to see you through;
Take a step forward, and do not tremble;
He will guide you by the hand that you may not stumble.
Truly fleeting is the delight
In many a vice
That people so cherish;
Pleasure felt only to vanish in the mist.
With the Father, the Most High,
You will walk around with a genuine smile;
A mind that tells you to remain strong,
Even when your heart tells you to give up.
So, what will it be?
Would you rather be happy
With people for a temporary period of time,
Or achieve true serenity with the One Who gave you life?
