Vindicated
I know in my heart that what I did was wrong;
And for a while, I had been gone,
Allowing myself to be led astray
Into an abyss that could not see the light of day.
Though He has opened up my eyes
To help me recognize the lies
That I had been fed; and the truth
He taught me, He has seen me through.
Because of the kindness of the Lord,
I have been enlightened by His Word;
Now I walk around with a smile,
Knowing that He is my guide.
My heart will not quiver in despair
For I can feel His grace and care
There is no more reason for me to fear
When I know that God is near.
