ian was a good friend of mine from back home, i was surprised to get a message from him. i hadn't seen him since cosmetology school, we went through the same program. it'd be nice to catch up with him, i'd only really seen the guys and bella since i moved here.

gus was downstairs with ben working on some music. ian's uber dropped him off at my front door, "oh my god! hey! it's been forever" i said, hugging him. "i've missed you girl" he said, hugging me back. "i know the cutest little coffee shop, it's not that far from here, let's go?" i asked.
ian followed me to the coffee place. "so what have you been up to? got a job? a boyfriend?" he asked, raising his eyebrows at me. "yeah i moved into the house with a few other people so that's never dull. i did get a job at a spa actually, mainly nails and hair stuff but i'm really enjoying it. i kinda have a thing with my one housemate, gus, it's kinda been up and down but we're good right now and i really like him" i told ian.
"that's such good news, i'm happy for you!" he said. ian was always super sweet. "how's will? are you guys still together?" i asked, he was with him when we were in school. "no we broke up when we were done school, he moved away. we're still on good terms but we couldn't manage the relationship" ian said. "aw sorry to hear. at least you're still friends though" i said.
"here we are" i said, taking ian into the front door. we both ordered our drinks and sat down. "so tell me more about this gus" ian encouraged me. i showed him a picture of him off my phone. "oooh tattoos, i see you like the bad boys" ian said. i laughed, "he's actually the biggest sweetheart ever" i said. "so you just met from living together?" ian asked. "yeah, he kinda started flirting with me right away and it went from there. he's actually a rapper, so he always had girls over and stuff and that caused issues. we aren't technically together so he wasn't cheating but we did spend some time apart, we worked it out though and we're both happier than ever" i said.
"well as long as you're happy and think he's changed" ian said. "he has, he's definitely been proving himself" i said. ian and i chatted a little more about what we've both been up to. it was nice to see an old friend again. -

i knew it may look bad to gus, but hopefully he'd understand when i got home. he was literally my gay best friend from college. i walked home as fast as i could, knowing gus was growing impatient.
i arrived home and gus was waiting on the front step for me. "you have some explaining to do" he said, i could tell he was fuming mad. "gus, just let me explain" i said. "go ahead" he said, coldly. "that's my friend ian, he was in town and messaged me to see if i wanted to catch up. he's literally my gay best friend from college back home" i said. "i'm supposed to believe you?" gus asked. "yes, i literally talked about you to him the whole time" i told gus.
"you didn't even have the courtesy to tell me it was a dude?" he asked. "well, we're literally just friends i didn't think it mattered" i said. "it matters. you better not be lying to me. 'gay best friend' seems like the oldest excuse in the book" gus said. "well it's true, he was dating a guy named will when we were in cosmetology school together. why would i lie about something like this?" i asked.
"are you sure you aren't cheating on me aspen?" gus asked. "no, and i can't really be cheating on you anyways you're not my boyfriend. at least that was your excuse" i said. "so let me get this straight. your old friend from college messages you and wants to catch up, this friend is also gay and in no way attracted to you?" gus asked. "that's correct" i said.
"okay, but if i find out you're lying i will be pissed beyond understanding" gus said. "okay, good thing i'm not lying" i said. "okay" gus said. "we're good?" i asked. "yep" he said. gus followed me up to my room, closing the door behind me and backing me up against it. he held my body against the wall with his hip, letting his hands roam me. he kissed me with more force than he ever has "you're fucking mine" he growled in my ear. well, this is a side of gus i'd never seen before.
