It's a late morning with the sunlight already inside the room and it's tranquil. So peaceful, a while after the greatest day of their lives. Living in a faraway land, in a big tower that was once lonely. Now filled with joy and light, a happy mood overall.

Athanasia wakes up slowly, mumbling and squirming around. Her body turns and her hand hits something hard. It's familiarly sturdy and warm. She opens her eyes and wakes up to see her husband's sleeping face. Her hand was on his bare chest but it didn't bother her. They already saw and did everything so this isn't something to be ashamed of. It's not like this is the first time she has done this.

Waking up every morning is like a show when she gets to see his attractive face. It never gets tiring and she loves it.

Her hand traces the outline of his face, from the top side of his face to his jawline. She giggled quietly then his hand grabbed her wrist firmly. He opens his eyes and puts on a smug look, catching her on the act and she smiles at his sly expression.

"What kind of naughty play is my wife doing now?" Lucas kissed her palm gently and it tickled her as she laughed softly and leaned in closer to him under the blanket.

"... I'm just appreciating my husband's handsome face" She teased and briefly pecked him on the lips boldly.

He smirks in delight from this innocent action and hugs her, dominating over her and hovering above as she lets out a shriek. She was taken back by the climb and gaped in bafflement as she turned red. Quivering under him as his eyes scan her exposed body that is for him only. She covered her chest and timidly looked away.

"Lucas, not so early. Can we wake up first?"

"Can you even walk?" He cocked an eyebrow and she glowered at him with a sullen face. An obvious answer that her body is sore and energy drained due to last night's activity. He never allowed his wife to take any breaks after their marriage nor holds back. "Ok, fine. Do you need to be carried?"

"I-I don't think so and-gya!" He lifts her up and she jolts in shock, whimpering as her hips ache and she shivers in embarrassment and frustration. Sitting on his lap and the blanket drops down, she flusters and holds onto his neck. He snorts at her state and puts his arm around her waist.

"It hurts?" He asked and she nodded shyly, biting her lips and flaring. "Sorry, I'll be careful next time" He kissed her on the cheek and proceeded to carry her up. She yelps in surprise and clenches onto him tighter.

Then they began their morning routine and washed up in the bathroom when her hips were healed by magic and she could finally walk. Their honeymoon phase starts and the two can finally be together for once in peace without any trouble.

It's the life of a newlywed couple.

***TIME SKIP***

In the quiet palace of the great empire, the smell of burning fumes the air, and ashes vanishes as the paper and ink are engulfed by a flame. It spread and wandering servants whispered amongst themselves while passing by the office.

"Why does it always smell like there's a fire?"

"I heard His Majesty would burn a letter once a day with a candle that the princess gave to him"

"And it still hasn't run out?"

"It's probably magic"

They shrugged it off and continued on with their work. This event started not so long after the marriage but later it becomes a routine. The emperor didn't think about using the candle, not wanting to ruin the gift and fearing it will run out. Until someone informed him of the real purpose of the magical candle with a flame, he uses it often nowadays.
