Canada's POV

"You know, Birdie... you're cute. You're really cute." Gil smiled at me. It gave me butterflies. I really liked Gil, and I couldn't tell if he was serious.

"A-are you serious?" I said shyly while hiding my red face in the blanket.

"Ja." He reached over and ruffled my hair, accidentally pulling my curl.

Oh maple!

I let out squeek and batted his hand away. Embarrassed, I threw the blanket over me so he wouldn't see my face.

"Birdie? You okay?" Gil poked my leg through the blanket.

"Y-yeah. I'm fine, Gil!"

"So vhat vas zhat about?"

"N-nothing! It's just... My curl is uhm..." I stopped talking I didn't know if it was a good idea to tell Gil something so personal...

"Vhat? Your curl is vhat?" He was shaking me now. So I said it really fast.

"Mycurlismyenogerouszone!" I spit it out, still hiding my face. I was redder now, and I did not want to look at Gil.

"Wha... OH! ..... OH MEIN GOTT, BIRDIE I AM SO SORRY I DIDN'T KNOW!" Gil started to freak out. I peeked out from the blanket, and I saw Gil was really red. He was partially hiding his face, and he was looking at me apologetically.

"Gil, it's okay. Like you said, you didn't know..." I reassured him. He regained his composure. Looking me over, he smirked.

W-what is he thinking?

"But now zhat I do know..." He leaned forward, pinning me down on the arm of the couch.

"G-gil... What are you doing? GIL!" He grabbed my curl, but not pulling it. He smiled.

"So... Vhat vould happen if I pulled it harder?" He barely tugged at it, but it was enough to get an interesting noise out of me.

"G-gil, please stop." I tried to push him off of me, but he was TOO FRICKIN' STRONG, OHH MY MAPLE THOSE MUSCLES!

"Birdie, vhy didn't you tell me about your curl earlier?" He let go of my curl and leaned back. "I could have avoided pulling it in zhe first place."

Did he just forget what he JUST DID?!

He got up and looked at me. "I had you fooled. You vere so scared it vas adorable." He winked and walked away. I let out a sigh of relief and thought over what just happened.

What the maple is wrong with me? Why did I want him to pull it?
Then again, why was he joking like that?
