By now it was nearly the next morning. The sun was up in the sky, only Monokumas announcement hasn't played yet. L/N couldn't sleep, he was awake for the full night writing down his thoughts. It was rare for L/N to have problems to collect his thoughts, but he just couldn't understand. He was trained all his childhood to be dependable, to find solutions and now? The moment where it mattered the most, the moment someone else fell deep into despair, he not only wasn't depended on, no he also lost his cool. It took him half of the night thinking, untill he came to the conclusion, he was fighting beings who seemed to be unbeatable, immortal even, he couldn't fight something like that alone. They would need a leader to keep each other safe to a certian degree but in the end, this ‚thing' Monokuma, couldn't be beat by one person throwing themselves in harms way to protect the others. A monster like that needed a group standing united as equals. He was still going to help them of course, but not as a leader, not as a manager, but as a friend, or at least an equal. After he was sure about how he would continue he decided to get his mind distracted by training some card tricks. He was sitting at his desk shooting cards left and right, catching them, shuffling them and putting them back into order when suddenly.
*Ding Dong Bing Bong*
„Gooooood morning! Looks like today is gonna be another perfect, tropical day!" The morning announcement played
With that L/N stood up took his deck of card with him grabbed his suit jacket and left for the hotel. He was the first in the dining area, but different to the other days, he was alone without Byakuya. But he couldn't change anything about that. One by one the people entered everyone was down... even Ibuki. The only one who seemed like always was Hiyoko and something weird Nagito was missing and Fuyuhiko too.
„Huuuh? You guys don't look so good. Your faces look like you just attended two funerals in a row." Hiyoko said sounding confused
„That's, like what happened! Byakuya and Teruteru got killed...!" Mikan told Hiyoko
„I'm not talking to you, you ugly bitch!" Hiyoko insulted Mikan
Normally at this point L/N would be saying something, but not now... he had no energy to.
„Why are you always so mean to me?!" Mikan bursted into tears turning to L/N in search for help but got nothing from him, his head was hanging low nearly planting on the table
„Still, I understand about Mr. Ham Hands, but is there even a reason for us to be sad about Teruteru's death?" Hiyoko asked
„What the heck do you mean?" Kazuichi asked
„Well he was a crazy guy who killed someone! He totally deserved to die!" Hiyoko exclaimed
„I understand how you feel but you are going to far." Peko told Hiyoko
„Huuuh? Is it all right to defend a killer? Are you trying to justify murder?" Hiyoko asked
„No that was not my intention, but..." Peko started
„Then you gotta hate him from the bottom of your heart." Hiyoko told her
Hiyoko looked around the room L/N had his head back up by now, he listened to what they said but still kept quite.
„Damn Ice cream head, I thought you are wearing some weird glasses but those are just your eye bags!" Hyioko said to him
L/N only looked at her for a few seconds.
„Am I the only one smelling this?" He asked
„No, I am smelling it to." Akane told him
