Chapter 17 {Weapon of Shina}

(Gun finally arrives. Ozey unsheathes it gently.)
Ozaya: (from beside with curious gaze) Why is it made with Shina stone though? Isn't it supposed to work with shtone?
Ozey: Oh, yeah it does! Some inside parts are made with shtone! As the whole gun shouldn't work, only the part where the shina will come out needs to work, that is why only that part is made with shtone!
Ozaya: (small nods) Ahhh~
Then is it a shina gun or shtone gun?
Ozey: (realises) Good question!
Ozaya: Did you inform her yet? That it's arrived!
Ozey: Do I really have to? She-
Irene: (peaks inside slowly)

               Is     anyone       there   ....?    

Ozey: See?
Ozaya: (sighs) Goodness gracious!
Irene: Is it here! I wanna see!~
Ozey: (Wraps it back carefully instant) Let's go to her highness first!
Ozaya: Let's go together! I need to hand over some things as well ~

(Ozey, Ozaya & Irene in the Office room.
Ozey gradually explains the weapon to Venus.
While the other two stood there quietly.)
Venus: You have nothing else in hand right? <Irene>
Then Let's us go! (gets up and heading)
Irene: Me too? Where    .... Are we going somewhere?
Venus: Don't you need to be used to it?
Irene: Of course! It'd be such an honour!
Venus: Then come out right away with your shina gun~
Irene: Roger! (smiles brightly, shina eyes pops out)
Venus: Come with me <Ozaya>
Good work!~ <Ozey>
Ozey: (royal bow) My pleasure.
(both leaves)
Ozey: (approaches her and hands over gently)
Irene: (Looks at it fondly)
Ozey: Take good care of it.
Your Shina Gun ~
Nevertheless my effort is also there~ I mean I took part in making it particularly so-
Irene: Don't worry! That's also the reason I'm going to treasure it more! (soft smile)
Ozey: (looks at her eyes, gets flustered) Go away already! (clears his throat) Her highness is waiting!
Irene: Okay!

(Venus and Ozaya on the roof of the palace.)

Ozaya: (takes out a piece of spec gently that looks like a monocle.)
As you asked for this magnifying glass!
Venus: (takes the spec. Wears it on her right eye.) Mmm~
(fix the nose bridge with left hand and looks at a target board)
This is quite well made!
Ozaya: Glad to hear~
But if it's allowed may I ask why is it one sided?
Venus: If smaller Qi3 appears along with Qi2.
I can handle both without taking it off-on numerous times as it's hassling!
All I need to do is close the one I don't need to look through ~ (Extracts some shina and turns into a big bow. Aims the board. Closes her left eye and shoots.
And it stabs to the exact centre!)
Ozaya: (Amazed) That is fabulous! (Small claps)

(Then Irene joins)
Venus: Good work! You may take a leave now~
Ozaya: (bows and leaves)

The black target board was almost 100ft away! Irene stands in the line and prepares to shoot.
Then Venus starts to explain and accompany her gradually.)

Irene: (The board is totally worn out! Which explains how much she has been practising, and doesn't take her strong shina for granted~
Until now no ruler had taken things this much seriously like her!)
Venus: Let's use this for now!

So let's try~

Irene: Yes! (Puts her pointer into the gun. Extracts some shina. Notice the pressure. Hold the gun with both hands. Ready to shoot.
Closes her eyes tightly and pulls the trigger.
But it doesn't even go near the board!

Slowly opens her eyes with curiosity.

Realises and gets disappointed.)

It didn't hit!
Venus: How do you expect it to hit with eyes closed! But as a first timer it was good!
Irene: For real!?
Venus: (flicks her nose gently) If you are curious then keep your eyes wide open!
You have the potential to do well! All you have to do is have faith in yourself and a healthy amount of practice!
So don't get discouraged and keep trying!
Irene: ....
(Gets courage) Yes!
