Parinidhi's pov!

"Ms Vyas, behave properly. This is a very important client meeting. I will not tolerate any of your silly antics here." Mr Raichand said and I frowned at him.

"Why did you bring me along if it is so important and you don't trust me to behave?" I shot back in annoyance and his nostrils flared in anger.

"You mean I should have left you back at the office? So that you could flirt with that guy from the marketing department?" Mr Raichand asked with a scowl on his face.

"Flirt? We weren't flirting, Mr Raichand. Akash ji and I are friends." I said, making a face at him.

What is wrong with him?

"Err Mr Raichand, I have arranged for coffee and snacks to be served before the meeting starts. The meeting would be a long one and you already missed your lunch." Mukul ji quipped and I frowned at Mr Raichand.

"You skipped your lunch? How can someone skip a meal?" I asked in wonder.

Each time the meal time approached, rats would be running around in my tummy and it would be a long wait, waiting for the break time to finally have some food. And here this man simply skipped lunch and he still has the energy to shout at me.

Mr Raichand ignored my question and asked Mukul ji to guide us towards the restaurant area.

As we stepped into the fine dining area, my eyes widened in awe. This is the first time I am stepping foot into a five star hotel and the opulent interior made my breath hitch.

How beautiful all these are. And the food might be very tasty too. I felt my mouth watering at the very thought of these delicious foods.

"Take a seat, Ms Vyas." Mr Raichand said, pointing at the chair as he took a seat across from me.

"I will just go and check if the conference room is ready." Mukul ji excused himself and my face fell. I didn't want to be alone with this arrogant boss of mine.

"What would you like to have, Ms Vyas? Tea or Coffee?" Mr Raichand asked and I scanned the QR code on the table to see the menu. I am doing that for the first time, but I have seen it in a movie.

My eyes widened when I skimmed through the menu.

"499 Rs for a tea?" I asked with a gasp and looked at Mr Raichand. He shot an annoyed look at me.

"First time in a five star hotel, Ms Vyas?" He asked in a taunting tone.

"Of course, Mr Raichand. I am a middle class girl. We drink tea from local tea stalls, we eat pani puris from street vendors, and we buy snacks from small bakeries. We don't go to five star hotels to drink tea and waste our hard earned five hundred rupees." I said, looking straight into his eyes, making it clear to him that I am proud to be called a middle class girl and that he wasn't in any way belittling me by calling me that.

"Just order what you want." He said in exasperation.

"No Mr Raichand. I cannot waste 500 Rs for just tea." I said with a shrug and leaned back against the chair and looked around.

"You are here on the company's behest. So, the tea is from the company account, Ms Vyas." He said and without waiting for my response ordered a tea and a coffee and some snacks too.

How does he know I prefer tea over coffee?

We remained silent. I looked around, while Mr Raichand took out the file and went through the documents.

Why did he even bring me here?

After a long wait, the waiter brought the order.

He placed an empty cup before me first. Then he placed a small flask, with steaming milk, a pot with sugar cubes and few tea bags.

Hey Bhagwan!

"They are robbing you like crazy." I whispered to Mr Raichand, once the waiter was out of earshot.

"What?"

"You pay 500 Rs and they can't even make a proper tea. They just bring the ingredients to the table and rob you off 500 moneys. What injustice is this?" I couldn't contain my disbelief.

"That's how it is in expensive places, Ms Vyas. You make the tea to your liking." Mr Raichand said in an annoyed tone.

"If we have to make tea to our liking, we can always make it at our home and it wouldn't cost more than 20 RS for making one tea." I couldn't help but point out and he shot an exasperated look at me.

"Just drink it and get it over with." He snapped at me and I reluctantly added a few cubes of sugar into the milk and mixed it.

"What the hell? How many sugar cubes are you adding? Are you making sugar syrup?" He asked in disbelief and I shot a cheeky smile.

"I like my tea and coffee sweet." I said and then dipped the tea bag into the milk. No matter how long I dipped, the desired colour didn't come. So, I dipped the second tea bag also. Even then I got a pale coloured tea.

What has this world come down to that I have to drink such a pale coloured tea.

Maybe I should open a tea stall inside this five star hotel and sell tea for half the amount. If I sell ten teas a day, I will get two thousand five hundred rupees. And in a month,I can earn a total of seventy five thousand rupees.

OMG! I will not be able to get a better business than this..

Who should I speak to about this? Will Mr Raichand help me out? He might, if it means getting rid of me from Rey Designs.

"Mr Raichand.." I began to speak and at the same time, a document from the file flew out of the table.

I immediately stood up to get it and in my hurry, I placed my handbag on the table and everything that happened next was chaos.

The bag hit my mug of tea and it spilled across the table, staining the documents on the table.

"Damn it!" Mr Raichand hissed as he sprang up from the chair. The tea has stained his white shirt and his pants.

"Oh! I am so sorry, Mr Raichand." I said, picking up the table cloth.

The tea was really hot. It must have burned him.

I took the table cloth and started dabbing on his shirt and pants vigorously, but the stain wasn't going.

I heard him taking in a sharp breath and looked up to see him staring at me intently. For some reason, the way he stared sent shivers down my spine.

"F*ck.." I heard him mutter under his breath, before circling his fingers around my wrist in a tight grip.

"Stop," He growled and walked out of the cafe.
