Rosalyn's POV
I watched as the doors opened and revealed the same vampire who melted my heart.
"Alec..." I whispered.
Briar huddled behind my leg, slightly shaking.
"Mommy? Who is he? Why is he so bloody?" she whimpered.
I smiled gently at her before scooping her in my arms.
"Darling...he's your father. Meet Aleczander, or Alec as we all call him," I said, slowly walking towards the unmoving figure.
Her bright eyes glimmered in curiosity as the vampire came into view.
"Daddy?" she asked, tilting her head.
"Yes...that's me," he whispered.
"Daddy!" she exclaimed, jumping out of my arms and into his.
He chuckled, kissing her on the cheek.
"Look at how big you've already grown," he smiled.
"Yeah! I'm a big girl now. Demetri says so!" she giggled, looking over at where Demetri was standing.
"Well, you really can't deny it," said Demetri.
I laughed before Briar ran off to him to play with her doll. I looked up at Alec before exchanging my smile for a frown.
"We have a lot to talk about."
