Sleep issues and or Insomnia

- A good habit to build is to stay off electronics an hour or half an hour before sleeping. The bright screen and colors help your mind stay awake, which is what we do not want.

- Count to 100. But backwards. Most people start to doze off around 40-50. I takes me two tries but hey we are all different.

- Get a little cold! Sometimes it is way easier to sleep in cold environment. Open a window, use less blankets or no blankets! My brother needs to feel a weight as sleeps, so he sleeps with a sheet! Helps him stay cool but still feel something.

- Use a fan! This helps to keep cool and also creates a white noise to help block out bigger noises. You can also purchase a white noise machine or wear headphones (or not) and play a white noise anthem on computer, tv or phone.

- Don't use your phone in bed. If you need to use your phone get out of bed. When you set your Alarm place it somewhere far away so you won't pick it up in bed. Just don't ever let your phone be in your bed.

- Dont go to bed hungry. But try to to eat 3 hours before going to sleep. If you are drink tea, warm milk or water. Full stomach to bed means your body stays awake working on the food.

- Curl your toes. Hold for a few seconds and uncurl. Repeat. It helps relax your mind and body and relieves tension.

- Wear an eye mask! It helped me a lot. Even the smallest amount of light will ruin a good night sleep or prevent sleep all together. It also helps just force the eyes to stayed close to further help you fall asleep.

Personal tip of the day:

I used to watch tiny cooking videos to fall asleep...totally not lying. I would watch these certain ones where there was no music or talking so just the sounds of general kitchen sounds made me fall asleep. I watched tiny cooking specifically because...well its tiny. I personally watched "Miniature Space"only, it really knocked me out super fast.
