Augustus  turned around to see Aurelius heaving and panting while his perfect white crisp poet shirt was soaked in sweat. After taking few more heavy deep breaths, Aurelius calmed himself and struggled to speak. Augustus on the other hand was hell worried for his friend seeing him in such a havoc condition.

"Your honour, someone tried to poison our horses!" after heaving and panting, he revealed this piece of information.

"poisoned our horses?" After listening such a shocking news, Augustus's mind was ready to blow up in any moment. He couldn't understand how to take this information.

Seeing his friend in distress, Aurelius's heart went out for him but he had to continue with the news. He further spoke, "yes! And those horses, which soldiers rely on. We catched the intruders in our stable when they were about to add the poisonous substance but unfortunately, we couldn't make them spill any information. "

Augustus's eyebrows arched in surprise demanding the reason behind it. Aurelius continued," none of them had a tongue to speak. They were all mute."

This information striked in Augustus's mind and he knew that those bloody cowards eagles were behind it because when he was attacked by the soldiers, none of them could speak. After sighing in utter frustration, he scraped his chin and pressed his lips. "Eagles" was the only word which he could speak.

He had enough of this nonsense and he couldn't continue with this shit anymore. After having a night of bliss, the morning was being hostile towards him. He needed some immediate action to vent out his anger.

Turning around, he went near a wall and punched it hard thrice and roared loud making all the prisoners gulp in fear. Aurelius was shocked seeing his friend's reaction and he was fast enough to stand by his side and pull him.

With great difficulty, Augustus tried to keep his anger in check. His frustration was escalating with every passing second by the mere thought of those eagles but he had to think rationally about if. He assured Aurelius that he was fine. Taking few deep breaths and closing his eyes , he started analysing the situation and an immense solution to this rucus.

Aurelius who himself was frustrated with the present scenario, looked at Augustus anticipating his next order but it never came. He assured him that he would increase the security around stable but Augustus's mind was cooking something else.

He spoke, "till when will we keep increasing our security? Everytime they come up with another plan to fuck with our head."

"What else should we do then?" questioned Aurelius in his confused voice.

After passing him a humourless smirk, Augustus spoke in his stiff tone, "To catch a fish, you have to plan a trap and that's exactly what we are going to do."

Eagle's kingdom

Her ivory skin was in contrast with the impure thoughts going on in her mind. Admiring a marvellous piece of art with her beautiful eyes, she turned a bit when the messenger spoke, "your highness! Back in Florence, your son has found his happiness in Ritha."

Coming closer to her throne, she sat elegantly on it like a queen which as a matter of fact, she was! A fraction of the malice which she had stored in her heart, graced her lips. She gestured the messanger to continue with his information. She was waiting for the news of  Atticus's death to hear which would calm her raging heart but it didn't happen.

Her eyebrows raised when the messanger kept feeding her with the news which were preposterous to her. She could feel his hesitation through his voice. Her eyes fell on his palms which were closed into tight fists, he was sweating profusely which confirmed her doubts. Before messanger could disclose their failed plan, she herself spoke, "Atticus isn't dead."

Messanger's eyes lowered down and he murdered meekly, "no, your highness! "

A glass shattering sound broke the eerie silence of the dark room where only source of light were the small candles kept next to throne which tried it's level best to gallop in the darkness and illuminate but unfortunately, didn't succeed and ended up surrendering to the darkness. The queen had smashed the expensive wine lying on the table taking out her vexation. Getting up swiftly from the throne, she was quick enough to come and stand closer to the messanger.

Seeing the posh wine falling on the ground, messanger's eyes failed to mask his disappointment. Never in his life had he ever drunk such an expensive wine which was now littering on the floor. Subconsciously, his tongue moistened his dried lips imagining the heavenly taste if he would have drunken it.

His trance was broken when his queen spoke in affirmative tone, "I wasn't asking your confirmation, I was declaring that those idiots failed in killing Atticus. Well, how about the horses."

To the messanger's dismay, the queen was standing very close to him, killing the air between them and her facial expressions screamed danger. He was afraid that he would lose his life if he would give the next dissapointing piece of news but unfortunately, he didn't have an option.

Gulping in the huge amount of air, he mustered up his courage and spoke, "N...n... No! My lady! "

No sooner did he speak those words, his tongue was cut down by the sharp object in the queen's hand.
