Lilies At The Funeral

Dressed in black,
a woman will lay upon her own death bed,
knowing her time has come.

She grieves for her own departure,
knowing no one else will,
and she buries her tears of sorrow.
under lilies she got her for her own funeral.

It's no normal funeral,
as her bed isn't visited by death itself,
but only the numb feeling,
of her heart shattering.

Pulling the covers over,
she realizes she let the one she loved,
manipulate her into isolation.

So she lays upon that bed,
hoping death does visit,
and takes that numbness away.
